My husband and I just came back from the Keys on Saturday after spending three weeks there. It was our 18th trip since 2002. Watching your video makes me want to go back since I noticed a few things that I would like to do. I really love the Keys!
As someone who lives in Key Largo, I’m pretty used to people overlooking Key Largo when we got Miami to the north and Key West to the south. So imagine my reaction when they mentioned Key Largo…. But then showed Islamorada 😂
I was born and raised in Key Largo, met and married there. Had and raised two great boys there. In 2004 we moved away because of to many people trashing our beautiful area. If you visit the Keys protect it.
We love it. Robbies, Betsy the lobster, keys fisheries, florida keys brewery, ms mac restaurant. One of the best or the best drives in the U.S. This is a must in life. Cheers
Wow!!! First video in which the TH-camrs brought the downsides upfront- pricey, humidity, and mosquitoes. Well done!!! Too many times you have TH-camrs doing all the things without telling how much it cost them or at least say “prices are jacked up for tourists”.
Having been to KW numerous times, I highly suggest Hogfish Bar & Grill on Stock Island (last one before Key West). It's near where the fishing boats dock, and so the seafood is incredible! It's an open-sided, thatched-roof place that is so fun and clean. My wife was just starting to enjoy seafood, and tasting the freshly-caught snapper and grouper turned her into a fan. Also, while partying on Duvall is fun, the southern end of that street (near the 90-mile to Cuba marker) is actually quiet at night. If you enjoy getting restful sleep, this is the area to focus on. You should see Mallory Square at least once, but having done that, I never need to see the spectacle again.

I used to live in Key West and I agree Zach Taylor State Park is awesone! You can park there for the day....just get the heck out by sunset or you can't get the car out!

I just came home from Bahia Honda state park and the beach will not disappoint you! Bahia Honda is one of the most beautiful state parks I’ve ever been to and it’s worth staying and camping there. Even the bath houses are clean 💕💕💕
The problem is it can take you several years before you can actually obtain a camping spot at Bahia Honda. 5 years ago we finally got a spot, #17 the best spot at the park all by luck. We cannot wait to go back.
I've never been in the US. But after GTA 6 locations, honestly it started growing back on me the idea that Florida will be the 2nd or 3rd place i would like to visit in the country!
We stayed at a VRBO in Marathon, loved Bahia Honda state park so much as well as Sombrero beach. The turtle hospital on Marathon is a must! We also went to dry tortugas national park and it was so so amazing! Dry Tortugas is a must do! The mel fisher museum also very cool in key west.
Great vid... Been to the Keys dozens of times. Love it thete. Smoking Tuna has a killer band. GOOD place to chill at night. Red Garter. GOOD times always for sure. The fishing charters are a crowd pleaser too. Pub subs are bomb.
That Pub sub! 🔥 if you’re still in Florida, get the chicken tender sub tossed in buffalo sauce, mayo, bacon, Swiss. Toasted. You’ll be in a coma by the time you’re done. Lol

I really enjoyed this video. I always planned on living in Sanibel or Captive but really wanted to come and see Key West. Well since I wound up in Seattle and am 80 maybe in my next life I can go to all those beautiful places you shared. Thank you.
One tip from our trip there- bring a yeti tumbler and immediately pour your beer in so it stays cool for the few minutes it's not in your stomach! And most def. take your boat to Sombrero key to snorkel and the Looe Key to snorkel the reef there also! Oh, and we love your RV recommendation, that's what we did- Sunshine Key (Ohio Key) about 20 miles from Key West, was perfect. Had a great Marina for the boat also.
Boyd's RV Campground is better than both of the RV Parks that you mentioned. It's right next to the bridge that goes right into Key West! Highly recommend! Its also right down the street from Hogfish Bar and Grill. Another #1 local seafood marina hangout.
I fish Islamorada the fishing capital of the world on my monthly visit to stock up the refrigerator it’s kind like visiting the grocery to get a few things I need.

Who is going to the 2022 25th annual Key West lobster festival starting August 11th to the 14th? Events during the four-day festival include the Lobster Boil, the Duval Crawl, free concert and street fair, and a lobster brunch at the Smokin Tuna Saloon.
Also add on snorkeling Looe Key Marine Sanctuary off Ramrod Key. Diving/Snorkeling for Lobster when in season. The best kept local favorite beaches are the ones off the content keys from Big Pine to Sugarloaf.
Next time you're in Marathon and want a good cup of coffee try La Ninas. And castaways is a great restaurant there also. We go 2-3 times a year for long weekends and have always had a great time

You should have seen it in the 1960's and 70's. It's my hometown and it was paradise!

At Fort Zachary Taylor there is a secret beach that only locals know about and it has amazing waves and super clear water
