Love this video. I don’t know much about the Authority except the Superman And The Authority comic Grant Morrison wrote but they seem like a cool team. And James Gunn is known for making obscure teams into household names. Hopefully we get a Justice League as well though.
Thanks so much for checking it out. They are a cool team. It's easy to take the "off-brand DC or Marvel heroes, but make them edgy" approach, but these characters were lovingly crafted to be their own thing. And I think their approach to holistically looking at the world's problems and how to solve that, instead of busting small time criminals resonated with a lot of people. I do have faith in James Gunn, even though I ragged on the Superman costume, so at this point, fingers crossed we get a great movie.
@@Alexander-Lionheart_1881 So it seems this was a comic from the 1990s, so not an Elseworlds story. One of those company-wide crossover comics. Superman Prime turns up in the last issue :) It's written in a very 1990s overly-excessive way, so it's more telling us that Superman survived for millennia in the heart of a sun and became a golden god, rather than showing his adventures.
Planetary getting mentioned in a video is like crack to me, 10/10
Might be worth a dive into that at some point...

Lost it at "Daddy Chill" Should have seen it coming
dad memes are guaranteed.
There is no limit to the amount of power superman can absorb from the sun, apparently you've never heard of superman prime one million
Yeah I heard of it - it's the one where he lives forever and resurrects a version of Lois :)
@@Thosethatcant-BoBB yeah he basically turns into a golden god lol
@@Alexander-Lionheart_1881 I'll check it out - I kind of assumed it was an Elseworlds kind of story.

@@AgentMoray it probably is, but im pretty sure every version of superman has no limit with how much sunlight they can absorb
Alan Ritchson for Apollo, would be a great casting, It might be the recency bias from watching Reacher talking tho, haha, great video!
It would be dream casting :) Thanks Ronan.
The dcu got good casting better than amber heard Ezra miller Jesse eisenberg and Jared Leto as roles they aren’t right for
Yeah, I am on record as particularly despising Ezra Miller and Jesse Eisenberg casting choices.
@@Thosethatcant-BoBB no Leto?
@@Moviemakers05 Worst Joker ever, but I kind of liked his Morbius.
