    The top arm is very important, more important vs bottom hand because your top hand should be able to push that blade straight into the water without kaplunking! The best exercise to do with the top hand? Raise the cable to the topmost, pull downward and diagonally. PNF D2 extension maybe?

    i got an injured biceps tendon doing dragon boat is that normal? I can't tell if i got it on pull or because when i went for teh recovery part the blade hit the water and caused a strain on the tendon the way back... what do u recommend to strengthen and prevent this?

      Watch out for any sharp increase in training load. Consider doing the Thrower's ten set of exercises.

      Rotate your trunk as far as comfortable/tolerable while maintaining the same leg positioning.

      @@ryanbalmesdpt no judgement here lol. I just imagine you got some looks in the gym.

    Thank you for the video! Do you think it's ok to kneel on one knee instead?

    • @ryanbalmesdpt
      @ryanbalmesdpt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be okay. If pulling with the R hand, kneel on the R knee, L foot forward.

    Im preparing for a dragon boat race in two months. Last year, my back was burning by the 2nd heat, lol. This will be a major help. Thank you!

    Curious as to how much weight you are put on the cable. Pulling the water probably is not too heavy and pulling higher weight might make things easier. Of course too much weight is going to slow down your exercise I would think.

    • @ryanbalmesdpt
      @ryanbalmesdpt  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd work with a weight that allow for speed (with good form).
