They're playing best ball from the ladies tee and trying to shoot 50. So some shots they played Bryson shot.
Trump keeps the club face pointing towards the target. He hits pretty straight shots as a result. Not bad for an old man.

You’ve missed the format here. It’s a 2-man scramble trying to shoot 23 under for 17 holes. Trump’s job as Bryson’s weaker-playing partner was to lead them off with a solid drive down the middle so Bryson could bomb away, and to make a few long putts.
He's definitely better than the vast majority of 78 year olds, but there's no way he's a 2.8 hcp.

The point of the challenge is to break 50. There playing close so it’s possible. Bryson couldn’t even get close with another pro from the whites.
Two minutes in and they showed the same long putt 4 or 5 times and a couple of drives. Fake as hell.
