Derleth didn't have Lovey's beautiful language. Unfortunately he was an inferior writer.

Not being able to see the complete title on my phone I assumed this was Lovecraft. Then I noticed there was a woman in it ( and one who wasn't a deformed, freak).
    Can't be HP.

Not Lovecraft. Shouldn't have his name on the video or likeness in the thumbnail.

“Likeness”? What is Lovecraft, a brand or a copyright?
Even Bram Stoker’s writing was closer to what we’d call fan fiction than a complete original.
Don’t you wonder why this was narrated, so long ago in the last century, by the same guy who narrated the other Lovecraft stories on this channel?

Compare Derleth's crap to "At the Mountains of Madness" or "Call of Cthulu".

Another great uncle, another old house with a forbidden room, another set of texts explaining the phenomena, another idiot protagonist who doesn't understand anything...
3/4 stories thus far match that description. I am beginning to theorize that Derleth did not have a creative bone in his body. He evidently does not understand the genre at all. Where is the ambience, the atmosphere, the tension?
No wonder he had to bully himself to Lovecraft's copyright, he could not write for shit.
I guess this one is technically not in Dunwich? Yay?

He did seem to re-skin the same story a bit didn’t he? I think the thing that gets me the most is tagging his stories as "posthumous collaborations." Pretentious little goon.
