You don't see a used lift from Europe get installed in the US very often. In fact, this might be the first! I liked this lift a lot, even with the wind issues that day. Lifts with EJ bubble chairs are rare in North America, I believe this is the only one in the US.
I wish I could, but it probably won't happen again this season. It's a 3 hour drive from Seattle (where I live), which is too long for anyone to take me in a single day. I'll most likely make it next season though, and maybe some more days, so I don't have to hope on one day Chair 2 isn't on wind hold.
In terms of wild profiles, I can see a correlation, as well. Though Broadway's profile starts steep, with a flat section, then a downhill section followed by another steep uphill section. This lift just goes up and down constantly, with some long, unsupported sections along the way.
i believe this thing has automatic detectors fro if it gets too windy because when i rode this and when you did, it stops and slows an inhuman amount of times
It's possible, but all the electronics were upgraded by Skytrac. If you watch near the end of the video, you can briefly the operator at the drive station looking out the window, likely adjusting speed.
I can pretty confidently say they didn't have the funding for a new bubble lift, but wanted a bubble lift partly for marketing. It seems it has worked out for them, as this project won them a business of the year award. This will likely stick around for awhile. When it's eventually time for it to go, Mission Ridge could be getting enough revenue to replace it with a new bubble lift, or maybe even a bubble six-pack.
About 25 minutes. Didn't go faster than 600 FPM, approximately 60% this lift's full speed. Very sad for a high speed quad, but acceptable because of wind.
I've heard this lift has had some issues, not uncommon for an old lift of this design. The slows and stops were the wind, mostly. I don't think the lift had any other major issues during this recording.
Rode this lift when it was still in SkiWelt Brixen. Great that it's living on in the US, love these old doppelmayr quads!

I think this was the old Zinsbergbahn when it was in SkiWelt Brixen.
The video we were waiting for! 😍😍😍
Thanks, that really makes my day!😊😊
Looks so cool! Never seen a chair that’s enclosed before! Can’t imagine how long it took to get up though
I went here and it was about maybe a 7-10 minute ride
Yay! You got to ride the lift! I heard it closed becuase of winds when you were there
They left the Poma Alpha drive terminal from the old Liberator Express!
I guess you'll have to go back on a less windy day before the ski season ends.

Wow, such a amazing lift. Reminds me of Broadway at Sun Valley.

@@sorenjones yes, I did notice that

It's interesting how the drive terminal from the old lift is still sitting there
i wander why it keeps stoping and slowing down
Wind
It is a great lift
I love the old technology! It's aged so well from 1987 (at least it's in great shape).
Why did they buy such an old lift used? why not just build a new one?

Cool lift, but I also miss the old one
How long did it actually take to get to the top

@@sorenjones that's nuts!! I thought it just slowed down at the pickup spot, 25 min is just crazy.
@@sorenjones Same thing happened to me on Copper’s Lumberjack lift, except that there were no wind issues, which made absolutely zero sense.
What camera do you use?
GoPro Hero 7 Silver. Water and temperature proof.
That’s a smart move to speed it up. It looks very slow.
It was very slow, didn't reach a speed over 600 fpm. Only thing is, it sounds like a vacuum cleaner lol.
Congratulation from brixen in austria

Man, a lot of slows and stops. Just nuts and bolts getting ironed out for the first season?

Thanks. I wrote the comment before seeing the description lol. The wind must have been strong.
this lift sucks
