Great knowledge to retain Kevin. Happy to see the repair worked out and your bike is back on the road. I'm looking forward to the ironhead and yamaha :) 🍁 Very best
A drawer of home made tools !!!!!! i like points they let u know when they need att. always carry points& condenser but i run 6 volt batt. electronic ing. takes full votage to work points can work on low voltage with points if batt. takes a dump your points will run on a 6 volt dry cell hooked up to coil only a long ways HAPPY TRAILS
Lucy looks good and apparently minds her manners. Good job on the kicker gears, been there. When you get to the other end, I recommend a Super Nut with the o-ring to help control leaks. Also silly seal is your friend there too, before you install the sprocket, fill the grooves in the shaft with silly seal, then coat both sides of the sprocket where it makes contact with more silly seal. I also run 12 volts, the circuit breaker (distributor?) is from Motorway Engineering in Manchester, NH., it has never given me any trouble. I've been fussing with my Pan for 26 yrs, it doesn't consider me to be the boss yet. I guess that I have 30+ yrs on you, I looked into putting a push button on it, bought an Iron Head with a push button for less money for when I get old and lazy. OK, the Iron Head needs some TLC but I have tools. Mid 70's and the 88" Pan is getting harder to kick but not giving up yet. You may be too far on the other side of Nashville for me to visit but I might feel energetic next year. Keep up the good work.
I had a 63 pan for 15 years. Sold it to buy my 48 UL. I should have kept it. In all those years I’ve never had to fix the kicker. Now I know how. If you want to ditch the points Mallory makes a nice distributor. But it ain’t cheap. I bought a small battery for my 6volt oil tank that’s used on a KTM motorcycle probably a dirt bike or something like that. Fits perfectly and is probably 10 years old. Still works good. It’s a sealed battery that you can put in anyway you want. I put it in standing on its edge, and it fit the old 6volt battery top cover perfect. All you need to start and old bike is strong right leg 😜
You got a Repor with Matt wheels through Time ? He has so many contacts and talks about Contacts that could Bennifit You .keeping your pans all Amercan made ,
@@butlercustoms well their something Right their . Is Your Daddy able to Ride yet ? Be a good Father and Sun outing . Day Down a Day at wheels threw time and a day Back Home 👍👍😉

Thank you for those great tips! I’m an hour east of Nashville. If you’re ever close please stop by and say hi

Thank you, I'm an hour west of Nashville, maybe when it warms up next year.

I'll sure try my best too! Thanks
Thanks for a great video and good looking bike and sounds good
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
Apparently V-Twin makes a tool to pull that gear and it looks exactly like your pitman arm tool
That $15 tool worked great!
