Thankyou so much Karen. I haven’t forgotten it’s in the pipeline but there are many parts to it and it may become an online class tutorial. Perhaps a small version on this channel and a more involved version as an online class tutorial. There are so many videos l want to do, if you have subscribed you will be one of the first to know when it’s released, l have already started planning it. Thanks for watching and appreciate the comment. 😊
Peter, would I use this jewellery idea along with crockery or another medium. Do you have a video to show how to build a wall piece using jewellery. Thanks, Elizabeth
If you are creating a mixed media mosaic then you basically use whatever you want with whatever you want providing the piece is going into a suitable environment for the materials you're using. I haven't created a video on it yet but when using jewellery the secret is to layer it larger pieces down then then smaller pieces as a general rule. Sometimes you need to spend a bit of time so as the jewellery looks cohesive and not just shoved down. If you go to my Facebook Treasury Road page and look through the photos in the photo section you will see pieces I have created combing crockery and jewellery together as well as other materials. :)
Morning🌞🌞🌞 - that's a Wonderful Tutorial. BTW where can we get to see a start to finish project of yours? I'm sure that itself will be a MasterClass 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Mozhdeh. If you are going to use jewellery then it would need to be kept in a dry environment and away from moisture. Generally its plated however there is such a big variety in the marketplace and with that also comes different qualities as well. The pieces I have made using jewellery haven't had any issues. I have never used a sealer however it may be worth considering and if you wanted to go down that path, you could do a few tests first. :)
I cant speak specifically about your job but I have adhered stained glass and vitreous tiles with it without a problem. If you watch my other videos you will see me adhering all sorts of items with Apoxie Sculpt. :)
Thanks so much Jonna. I do work with beads a lot and they are great to use in mixed media mosaics. If you go to my Facebook page "Treasury Road" and scroll through the photos you will see a number of pieces I have made using jewellery. There are a number of different mixed media mosaic projects where I have used jewellery as well as repurposing jewellery. :)
Thank you for this information, very helpful! And I can’t wait for you to make the video on jewelry you mentioned in your answer to Rupa!

Hi Peter,
Regarding using costume jewelry, do we need yo seal them for making them rust proof ?

Does apoxie sculpt adhere well to glass. Can I use it to adhere embellishments after grouting my piece?

Hello Peter. Thanks for more handy hints.
Do you do any mosaics with beads? Or they are a bit fiddly to work with? Thankyou.

I will have a look at your FB page. Thanks again.
I’m wondering why the brooches don’t stick to the pad you are pressing them onto.
The brooches do stick to the board l am putting them on. You can remove them before the Apoxie Sculpt sets up and cures. 😊
Do you grout Jewellery?
It depends on the jewellery, and the quality of it. In the case of brooches, you wouldn't grout it. :)
@@TreasuryRoad thank you 😀
