    Have found it works very well on fiberglass. Currently have just used it to mend garden statues like adding a tail to a broken cat or making a fountain bird look more realistic. I was inspired by your sunflower videos to add a string of beads in the center of a small tray. Worked great. Thank you for all you do for especially us beginners. You are a treasure.

    I tried working on a custom action figure today, I don’t know if you know s.h figuarts or dragon ball, but I made a future gohan with apoxie and it was my first time too. It turned out spectacular!! For my first time it was amazing I also used spray paint with it as well😁😁😁

      Hi Tonya! Ohh, I LOVE your first Apoxie Sculpt project!! What a great idea! And so Earth-friendly. With your substrate being so little, the Apoxie Sculpt is a PERFECT adhesive choice. So fun! I'd love to see pics of your mini gazing balls. If you can, please tag me on IG (instagram.com/julieweilbacher/). Thanks! Keep creating, and as always, I'm so glad you're here!🔥

    My first use of this product was to make some pendants. Okay for my first try, but excited to try take2! I also want to try a couple things with leftovers : tinting it and building small flowers and dots with the tinted product for additional mosaic tesserae materials

      Hi Carolyn! YES! It's great to come up with ways to use left over adhesives like Apoxie Sculpt or thinset-mortar. They're perfect to make tesserae or smaller substrates. I like that you're experimenting and there's no waste!🙌 Keep creating and I'm glad you're here! 🔥

    I have to tell you that this video was super helpful to me. I am working on an outside garden project and just found out that I could use apoxie for the adhesive and double bonus, it also acts like a grout. From all you said, I am going to try it, except I'll do it on a small ball or object. I will be using tile or stained glass. I'm actually looking forward to trying it thanks to your video. Well done and described and many thanks.

    I haven't used Apoxie yet. Now after watching your video, I wonder since it's a clay base, can you use it free form style with no substrate? For example, make a rope out of the Apoxie, lay it out on wax paper or parchment, shape it, add your choice of tesserae and let it dry. 3D flowers come to mind also, LOL! That is all...I need coffee! 🙃🙃🙃

    • @JulieWeilbacher
      @JulieWeilbacher  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi my mosaic friend, Judith! YES! You can definitely make free-form shapes with it.....and then let them air-dry. No baking required! I would lay it out on wax paper. What will you make first? Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!😊

    • @terribohn7588
      @terribohn7588 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can! I have made little balls, rope type strands etc. I put it on parchment paper and it doesn’t, stick. It is great! I get the white and color it so you don't have to buy all the colors of AP.

    It is great to use for jewelry except that it gets very hard to work with for me.

    • @JulieWeilbacher
      @JulieWeilbacher  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Judy Judy Judy! I'm sorry to hear it's challenging for you. It does tend to have a mind of its own when being spread onto some surfaces -- metal jewelry substrates in particular. Or is the mixing up? Thanks for watching, keep creating, and I'm so glad you're here!😊

    use it for most of my mosaics and bead adhesive-only downside is the high price and shipping to western Canada. I would use it even more if it wasn't so incredibly expensive.

  • @christopherlyons7613
    @christopherlyons7613 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the video. Question, would you use this for general adhesion for small sized projects? How expensive would that be compared to other adhesives or thinset? Would are the +s and/or-s? Appreciate any comments. Thanks.

    Thanks for the great videos. I would like to try Apoxie Sculpt for my mosaic jewellery and other pieces. I am on a limited budget so what colors would you suggest I start with? Thanks Julie.

    • @JulieWeilbacher
      @JulieWeilbacher  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Judi! Great to hear you enjoyed the video. Apoxie Sculpt is fun stuff to work with. So versatile! I would suggest a neutral color like gray. There's a silver gray and a charcoal gray. I went with the silver. You'll see it listed below the video in the description. Keep creating my friend, and I'm so glad you're here!🔥

    • @jameley5
      @jameley5 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JulieWeilbacher thanks so much. I was thinking of ordering 3 different colors as the shipping is better if you order more where I live. Someone else suggested black and/or neutral. What do you think. I am only going to get the 1lb size of whatever colors I decide. I have seen people just use the apoxie sculpt for their jewellery and not grout which means needing more options. I also read in their site where you can add acrylic or oil paints to white to make custom colors. What are your thoughts? Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions 🥰

    • @JulieWeilbacher
      @JulieWeilbacher  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paula! Apoxie Sculpt is an excellent adhesive for mosaic rocks and pretty much most outdoor mosaics for that matter. If you want to make borders or lines with it, then roll it between your hands to form a 'string' or pasta/cord-like piece. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥

    I have used it to make ornaments. The first time I used it I put it on too thick and it filled up the spaces where the grout is supposed to be. After that I learned I should make sure the Apoxie Sculpt is no thicker than a dime.

    • @JulieWeilbacher
      @JulieWeilbacher  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Patty! Oh I bet it worked well on such a small substrate.....especially if it was curved. GREAT advice about spreading on no thicker than a dime. Thank you for sharing. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🙌

    • @JulieWeilbacher
      @JulieWeilbacher  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Jennifer! Great question! I'm not sure they're the same thing. Apoxie Sculpt has to be mixed together in order to activate, whereas epoxy putty comes ready made. That may be a great future video topic.😂 Keep creating and I'm thankful you're here!

    Also I was wondering if you have ever used modeling paste (acrylic) inplace of grout? I was thinking about trying it on a glass bottle that I decorated with glass tessera. (Just bc of the smooth texture and not needing it to be water proofed)

    • @JulieWeilbacher
      @JulieWeilbacher  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Jennifer! I haven't used it but I would encourage you to do a little test just to see if it's the look you want and will be easy to work with before you mosaic your glass bottle. Unsanded grout would also give you a smooth finish. Keep creating and I'm thankful you're here!⚡
