When Paul Lynde looks at Herman after he puts his glasses on is so funny. His tie sticks straight out and the arms of his glasses go out to the side. Hilarious!

Always loved this beloved show. This was new when I was 5, and watched every episode then. It is hilarious. Paul Lynde was always a hoot.This show should have been on for at least 5 seasons before it was canceled.

This is the level of comedy you can only see these days on Nickelodeon when the grandkids are watching their shows. In the 60's this was par for the adults. Times have changed huh?
I have the 2 seasons on DVD, but i still catch it in syndication. One of my faves from the 60's. Loved it in this episode how Grandpa taunts him at the table about the Thanksgiving menu.

Paul Lynde was so funny, his humor was unique, and cannot be compared. I watched his TV sitcom when new, I think it was during 1972. It was on MeTV or Antenna tv, don't know if it still is. I watched the Munsters when new, too.

Lilly said, "We haven't been separated in over a hundred years." But Herman said it was a 20-year reunion, and Lilly wasn't in the Army with him. Writers goofed. But it's still a funny episode and Paul Lynde was hilarious as the doctor.
He said it was the first time thy had gotten together in 20 years. He never said he was in the army 20 years ago.

The Munsters were a fun show, though one part didn't make sense. Herman was Frankenstein's monster, Lilly was a vampire, so how did their son Eddie turn out to be a werewolf?
He had some wolf relatives in the old country!
Lilly's brother is a werewolf, so I'm guessing Grandma was one as well.
Maybe Eddie's grandmother was a werewolf since Grandpa had a werewolf son named Lester.
then wouldn't that make Lilly and Eddie part werewolf as well?
Something like this was mentioned in the British movie, "Monster Club," Vincent Price explained where if a werewolf and a vampire were to mate they'd get a werevamp and he talked about other things as well where monsters would mate with one another.

If you didn't know the "can't hear without my glasses" joke is more true the you realize. As someone who wears glasses myself if we can't find our glasses our body can get destressed from not being able to properly see and the rest of our senses can get confused too. So we can literally have trouble hearing because we can't see. It's pretty odd.
