I studied in Concordia and these streets bring so many happy memories. I've been away from Montreal for a decade plus and this video is getting me emotional.
Hi German, great video, thank you! I used to live at the intersection rue saint urbain, rue saint viateur. Could you maybe make a video walking from Metro Rosemont to Outremont, past Saint Viateur Bagels etc.? I really miss my old neighborhood and very much enjoy following your walks through Montréal.
I could do that, meanwhile you can check out my older videos in Mile-End: th-cam.com/video/nk03WAJp5qY/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/MLiKzSIplyA/w-d-xo.html
@@GermanKorb Thank you, that is actually exactly where we stayed (you even walked past the place). We were there in 2023 at the time you made the video. Seems like the winter this year hasn't been as snowy. If you find the time, it would be great if you could take a walk there again, also past the YMCA at Parc towards Outremont, which is a very nice area. Best wishes from Germany!
Sainte Catherine always seems to be in a state of dis-repair. I started visiting in the 1970s and there’s a noticeable lack of energy and appears cluttered and rundown. With Royalmount coming later this year it doesn’t look good for the central city.
We'll see how it turns out with Royalmount mall. Downtown is still considered to be a hang out place. I don't see people gathering in masses to hang out around De La Savane station. The city chose a strange location to such luxurious mall.

Was planning to visit (originally from Montreal) but the place looks utterly depressing now.
Merci ! Прекрасная прогулка и привет из России!
when are they going to finish the constructions? I was there last year, and seems like nothing has changed.
They're doing a few blocks at the time.
Hi have you seen all the robotic stuff/harvesting going on/coming to farming? Voilà, IGA, total robotics! Stay well everyone! 🙋🙂
So basically all of St Cath is torn up at the moment?

Learn French it's almost as easy as that! Good luck and earning a living here is harder than you could ever imagine, I gave up 28 yrs ago, kidding!
It's not worth it anymore, stay right where you are
