Day 6 of Winnipeg Jets training camp: Cole Perfetti (fresh off signing new contract)

- Jets 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti signed a two-year deal with Winnipeg last night and today he was back on the ice with his teammates for day 6 of training camp. He spoke about the new contract, his role, his excitement to be back and much more.
He is going to prove himself over the course of this contract, and I hope after all is said and done another deal is made that gets him paid and keeps him a Jet because he is exactly the kind of individual I think this organization really values.

I think he knows he's healthy, expects his numbers to go up these next 2 years, and the holding out was to telegraph his contract expectations after the bridge. He's got a ton of calm confidence, the bar of excellence set to full, and he's dedicated to coming into camp ready. Really excited to see Cole's game ramp up this season.
