In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew tests the new Zenmuse XT2 thermal imaging gimbal from DJI with thermal by FLIR. The XT2 requires the new DJI Pilot app, which is only available in a beta release and the current version does not include all of the functions that will ultimately be included. So, this first look review focuses on the basic features of the camera: 4K visible light video resolution and a 640x512 pixel thermal camera: a high resolution sensor. It is only compatible with DJI's M200 and M600 series aircraft, and will not work with the Inspire series or M100 drones. The XT2 is designed for all-weather operations and meets the IP44 standard. The controls available at present through the DJI Pilot app beta include: Flat Field Correction (FFC), digital zoom (up to 8x), spot and area temperature measurement, as well as display options that include visible, thermal, picture-in-picture and MSX technology. MSX is a patented FLIR process that superimposes edges from the visible light image on the thermal image, making it easier to recognize objects. The DJI Pilot app also allows the user to change the camera's color palette, which determines the appearance of the thermal image.

DJ I should stand for the department of Justiciar imagery. Talk to text sucks when somebody going to make a good computer I mean phone I mean computer with phone in oh wait that's what this is. I'm just a moron. I don't know nothing never mind. Just the country pumpkin duct tape and bailing wire. I know nothing of this technology. Caveman stuff out here pretty cool though I wish I had the money to buy one of those.
