I find this kind of retrospective analysis to be extremely helpful. I've been reading up a lot on Crystal Conflict the past few days, but seeing the thought process explained over an actual match makes the ideas a lot easier to digest and hopefully apply to my own games. Thanks so much for making this!

Thank you! It feels like VoD reviews are sort of a niche subject, and not everyone necessarily wants to sit for half an hour for a breakdown of a 5 minute match. For the people who do appreciate it though, it seems to be really helpful. So there will definitely be more on the way, just have to find the time for it all 🙂

more of this please. Its very hard to learn PvP right now because there are so few advanced guides like this. Most youtube guides are just for beginners

I've got one beginner guide in the works, and then I'll most likely do another one of these right after that. If you haven't seen my 8-0 Sage win streak video, it's pretty similar commentary just in real time instead of pausing to break down the action. Hopefully that helps too 🙂

Really insightful analysis. A lot of it does come down to understanding how to create and pressure a numerical advantage which a lot of people forget when they end up tunnel visioning on one target and find themselves at the wrong end of a 1v5

This was not only a fantastic FF14 PvP video but is also helpful for general PvP mindset too! Thanks so much for making this video

This has to be the most helpful PvP channel I have seen so far! Your content is amazing! It makes me understand mistakes I've made, so much better now! Instead of watching people play with no commentary and trying to figure out what they do right, you pointed out things I wouldn't have noticed. I've been going through your targeting and macro guides and after applying those, my last match felt just so much less frustrating :D Do you ever plan on making guides for specific jobs? - Either way, thanks for your advice!

I love hearing that my content helps! I'm still small enough that it feels like I'm just randomly shipping videos into a void, and it's super relieving to hear that there's actual value to it.
I do plan on doing a ton more videos, and job guides are certainly a part of that. I just need to find the spare time to make it happen 🙂

Thanks for feedback. And thanks for being so non toxic!

I try so hard to counter the "PvP is always toxic" mentality as best as I can, so I really appreciate your comment 💙

I enjoyed the vid! Always interesting to see a match where there’s commentary added on what u were thinking and plays trying to make.. obv pvp is essentially trying to “gank” for kills.. but sometimes u have to patiently wait out or set up big moves which can snowball and often makes more advantages than just blindly jumping in and blowing everything and prolly getting urself killed and actually damaging team effectiveness.. but alas, as seen in the vid, sometimes u still get those who just yolo and run off and do their own thing..
Would def be down to see more 🤙

Great video. Even for a job i dont play, very inciteful.

oh, wow. overly aggressive personafive bard here - hi! never would have expected to see myself on yt, let alone in someone else's commentary! (i'm glad it was a game like this, at least, and not one full of hilariously bad plays i often make)
unfortunately i don't recall much about this match, but having seen and played a lot with members of both teams i was probably scratching my head as much as you were about some of the points made, considering.
i'm hard stuck in plat for the season but if i can ever move on i'll try to keep a better eye out now that i know who you are! i still have lots to learn and improve on since i've really only been pvping seriously since 6.1 came out and i'm always trying something new everyday. looking forward to getting wrecked by you : )

Don't worry, making hilariously bad plays never goes away, happens to me too lol. And I'm glad the first person who found themselves in the video took it the way you did, I tried to shine everyone in as positive a light as I could while still being educational and constructive. You did put out a lot of good pressure in this match, your silence combos were really strong, and I'm pretty sure the only reason I died the one time I did was because you ran up to assist in getting the last little bit of damage to keep me from making it out safely.
Tons of people stuck in Platinum right now since everyone dropped back down. Just keep gaming, you'll be Crystal again in no time 😀

the PLD surviving (4:20) was painful. this kind of thing happens so much in CC, even in platinum and beyond it seems people just auto target instead of taking 1 second to look at who is at low MP/health. naw, lets target DRK with full MP and LB up instead of the BRD at 00000.1 HP, bravo

    Overall pretty decent guide, like&sub
I hope you can have a melee pov instead.(especially Ninja)
We all know range is more easy to manage with current CC design.

Can you do an up to date tier list? Maybe when 6.2 releases?

    • @Calmlamity
      @Calmlamity  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I could definitely do a tier-list video once the 6.2 changes come out. Keep an eye out for it once they make the changes public, I hope I'll have the time to make that happen!

If you want to learn when to run away as a melee. Play an RDM. You'll learn it, or you'll just spend all your time respawning.

You should have stand in the point in 09:30 mark. More people on the point = cap faster.

You know, I've always wondered about this but never actually went back and looked at video to see for myself, lol. I'm gonna go look at a couple VoDs now and see, and I'll definitely mention that in my next review, thank you!

Words cannot describe how much I hate Crystal Conflict. It has stupid rules and it's very unbalanced.
