    Couple notes from the video:
Although turks counted as muslims, turkish islam and arab islam is pretty much different that you might remember this from Krauts after Ataturk episode. Many people consider themselves muslim although they dont practice it. And you can be assured that there are many young/middle-aged population that’s openly believe atheism
Tea consumption is crazy and it’s estimated that the average turk drinks 4-5 cup of tee daily.
From the politics aside, turks & greeks get along pretty well. All those years, we maintain a neighborhood policy and since the cultures are very similar, we get along well. Only politicians are not.
Turkish food does not only/or majority on meat and you can find many dishes that does not have meat over the Aegean sides
Belief of superstitions/astrology etc are not so much as it seems in the last 20-30 years. What you need to remember is that Ataturk’s educational reforms are not embraced 100% at that time and nowadays we have plenty of “false knowledge” that people(especially those on the countryside) believes.
The crow thing is not so common as well.
Turks, generally are very emotional people which can be easily got upset and angry over the shared values such as saying bad things about the founder/country/their football team/their family. But they are also very hospitable and you can find tourists videos where people just makes free food for them and take no money (especially in Anatolia where tourism is not that popular like Istanbul/Antalya)
Turkish culture does not only include greek, Assyrian, balkan and arab culture but we also have many things came from the turkic origin that was in the central Asia

The turkish döner originated in the ottoman empire by turks it was made out of lamb on a vertical skewer and you ate it on a platter with rice, the lebanese took that and created shawarma which is originally made out of chicken but they put it in flatbread with sauce and some veggies, then there was a huge migration of lebanese and arabs to latin america and mexico through the spanish and of course they took their food with them so then the mexicans took the vertical skewer meet changed chicken with pork and pita bread with tortillas and created the taco.

You know so little history, which's better than knowing nothing. But all topics about Turkey history are much more complicated than you know.

Superstitions: These are basically the old traditions coming from the old Turkic Shamanism from the central asia, kind of remnants of an old religion.
Ethnicity: Most Turks are descendants of old anatolian people aka east roman empire aka Anatolian Greeks, Hittites, Trojans, Lydians, and many more, they lived there thousands of years, then Turkic people came from the west asia and they mixed up, ratio is like 80-85 % anatolian people, 15-20 % Turkic, numbers may vary but it is around these numbers based on genetical resources.
Cultural: It is a mix of Turkic + Mediterranean ( South East Europe + Balkans) and some Islam. ( this is my observation and opinion )

8:07 There is not such a thing like invading lol. We WON'T invade & don't think about it. Just imagine X country has very very close islands to your coasts & they don't give you sea borders that you deserve... I mean, even Meis Island just 2km away from Kaş, Antalya 🇹🇷. Of course we be mad about it, what did you think lol. My advice is don't look at the events just from one side, think as two-sided
    🇹🇷🖤🇬🇷 Mediterranean neighbours, no war
*"Peace at home, peace in the world"*
    *Ataturk (1881-193∞) 🕊️*

Arabs brought the Doner kebab as shwarmma. They were also called Turcos instead of Arabs. Mexican adopted the food from them.
