These look like a pretty good idea. I could fit these to either my bike with carbon forks or my trusty old retro Stumpjumper. A great solution for those of us that enjoy using older bikes.
Let me know what you think of them if you do give them a go. So far I'm pretty pleased - just the faff of getting the bag in but once there it's very steady!
Thanks, I learnt that the brown stuff is sticky tape and comes off... I was about to mount mine and fortunately watched your excellent video. Thank you. New Subscriber just for that... and your sense of humour perhaps!
4:54 You're fork is all protected with a rubber. Hahaha, brilliant. That gorilla clip is a great idea. I'm just starting to get back into my cycling although my bike is nowhere as good, or, indeed modern as yours. Loving your channel Kajsa I've been subscribed for a while now, but I've only just hit the notification bell. And, I was the 13th to like this video. Keep going gal. X
Got the gorilla clips attached to my carbon forks and tried the gorilla mount. However I much prefer using the gorilla clip and attaching a Blackburn cage to this. Interesting vlog 👍
I think these are pretty good. I've got a set but haven't put anything heavy on them yet. I've got bosses on another fork, and while that is a nice solid approach I wouldn't faff around getting a new fork with bosses for a gravel/cross bike. I'd feel happier with bosses if I was going to be spending a lot of time bouncing heavy kit up and down over some serious lumpy terrain in the middle of nowhere, but I'm thinking that's not what you've got in mind for the Tripster!
No these are perfectly adequate for my needs but they are a bit of an eye sore, that's the only thing. Replacing forks is probably not that high on priorities right now though.
@@KajsaTylen Fair point, they are more function over form. Something I didn't realise that quickly was that if you do ever have a fork with bosses you can bolt the three circular bits into the bosses and carry on using the Gorillas. The quick release aspect is quite handy.

I just learned something new and useful. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!!
Excellent demonstration and explanation! Thanks
Definitely cheaper than new forks, nice upgrade.👍

Thank you very much, glad it was of use to someone!! 🙂 (my sense of humour, that is)
Thanks for the tutorial, exactly what I’ve been looking for. Any comments on them since you’ve had them awhile
Actually, they've served me really well. The quality is great, I'm really happy with mine!

Thank you!
You're welcome! 😃
It would be a very small Gorilla that fits in that cage :)
Adult gorillas have their own bikes; this is for baby gorillas.
Did you fit them to a carbon fork?
I did. Seems they are compatible.
I think you’re mistaken, gorillas would just call them clips
🙂 You could be right.
