Thank you for sharing this video love the old motorbikes. Last time I was on a motorbike was about 40 years ago I've got the bug back because of you channel.
I had an early drum brake GT750 and the later 'higher performance' twin disc model. With the exception of stopping the drum brake bike was much nicer to ride. It had torque right from idle and would cruise around town nicely at 2500rpm. The later bike was peaky, it was like 500 Titan ; it came on the pipe at 3500 and felt gutless at normal speeds with it's tall gearing.
Yip them brake were completely shite ..as my friends brake lights came on in front of me .and other friend beside me they brake I'd tryed to brake .as my right foot hit the back brake my foot scraping to road I bend the brake arm with force .bent the left handle drop it down a gear. Light change red I with my arse in the air trying to stop ... in between a van and a truck. As i totally shit my self because the light had change for more then a few seconds. I closed my eyes i the only thing was to pray ..thank the gods nothing came the other way to take me out .....completely....beat the boys to the pub tho ..phhhhjj true story going through Southampton I'm not going to mention the speed lololo
I just love to see those long abandoned bikes coming back to life! I can't understand why the Americans just abandon bikes after using them for a couple of years. My troublesome CB360G came over with 4500 miles on the clock. It's a 1973 and it had original tyres still fitted.
Love the 70s colour on the 750 sohc ..and if u chuck the Harley off a cliff much better ...ps I'm a qualified motorcycle mechanical engineer...love your TH-cam..
No mate some biker on acid would love it ...even I would have it ..its a conversation starter. It will definitely turn heads .....and thats why..someone has taken lots of time and love on this bike ..groovy man ..polished and buffed ...nice looking machine for a sohc I've found a few in feilds around devon but not in that condition....big smile. Cheers for your time and energy
As new to your channel, can you explain why you go to Telford to just start someone else's imported bikes? Do you do it for fun or an arrangement? Thanks
Looks like a nice, clean XS 650 Yam @ 5.57.
I was riding these bikes back in the day and doing my own repairs was great days
