Visited 2022 April and it was by far, the most brilliant and peaceful holiday of my entire life. Now I can't stop watching Iceland videos all times of year. Cheers from LaLa Land, California.
I feel videos like this one are much better packing and dreseing guides.Visiting Feb '24 and really glad for the local perspective on what to wear downtown. thank you !!!
Sometimes the weather can be much worse, but then I don't walk around the city with a camera. This year the weather is very calm. Thank you, I'm glad my videos are useful.
I really appreciate how your walks really show me the city. I will be visiting Reykjavik in April, and your videos make me look forward to being there in person!
Well done on making it through to 10 years, I have to say I have loved every one of the films I watched that you uploaded! And congrats for finally being suspended below a helicopter, looked like fun!
It's hard to compare. The weather in Reykjavik is very changeable and in Iceland in general. This weekend in the capital there is a storm of rain and 12 degrees of heat, and on the east coast it is 25 degrees and full sun. I've never been to Helsinki. But it's definitely warmer in Spain :) best regards
Last year's autumn was dry and warm compared to previous years. I have a video of the first snow and it was in mid-December. Which was surprising. Normally it snows from October. I feel that this year will have good weather and November will be much warmer than in the video from January. But the weather is a lottery, especially in Iceland. If You want to ask something go ahead 😊
It's a hard question. I don't know if I have up-to-date data because I'm not interested in unemployment benefits, but the amount for the unemployed is about 225,000 ISK and it's the absolute minimum for living in the capital, including the cost of renting a room and food. This is the bare minimum for which it is hard to survive a month.
Iceland is nice but most are rude and insanely racist, even the ones in the hospitality industry. 🙄 Norwegians are far nicer, and Norway in general is so underrated and beautiful.
We stayed 2022 April and prices were reasonable. Our hotel was only 25% booked. It was too late to see the Northern Lights - although we got lucky and saw them on the plane - but we got to see all the other major tourist sights.
@Lysel Lahoylahoy I was in Vienna recently and I had the impression that I was in the most expensive country in the world :O . Some items are expensive others more expensive ;). I agree that hotel prices are terrible in Iceland. Living here, I feel like I can't afford it.

Cheers from Niceland... ups sorry Iceland
I visited this past June and I have to agree.
I'm going to visit as well

Well that's sorted my packing out. I'm going for a short stay in January '24 and i'm really looking forward to it. Cheers from the UK :)
Cheers from Reykjavík!
I miss Reykyavik.
Going about a week later this time next year. This helps me with packing, thank you.

I am very happy when my videos evoke positive feelings. Good to hear that.

Am going to visit Reykjavik soon!
good for you
So amazing the beautiful buildings and wide clean streets and the side walk sculptures (cat)😳
Looks wonderful.
I'm going to visit Iceland
Great walk tour in snow! I enjoy it a lot! thanks for sharing my friend! big like 58, friends from Taiwan!
Thanks!!! I also enjoy Yours videos! Greetings from Iceland
Very nice. Why do Bus stops do not have any shelters for passengers? Just a basic shelter to minimize the wind and snow.
Thank you for sharing this. What time of year was the video taken?
I'm not sure but it was in winter 😀 definitely not summer, enjoy watching
During these dates I was in Helsinki. Which is colder Reykjavík or Helsinki? In which city does it snow the most? Saludos from Spain ...

I’m going to Reykjavik the 2nd week of November. Will the weather also be like this?
I wish You a better one 😀
@@sigmaexplore so is that a yes? Just wanted to know.

I call good weather when it snows alot, dark, fog, no wind
What month is this?the heating in these buildings is it a stuffy heat
The recording is from January, Sunday 21
Did you enjoy walking in those conditions?
I like any weather in Iceland when it's not windy. It may rain, it may snow, it may be cold, I don't mind but the wind is terrible.
@@sigmaexplore oh good i enjoy that also.here in Australia i just love being outside with the tropical storms
Hey, where are all the people who are usually here?🥶
At home under a blanket 😀
Be there in 10 days, can’t wait!
Я в сентябре с палатки на бейту улетел - думал сдохну на хуй от холода! А зимой там ваще пиздец! 😂
May i know what a good salary is in Iceland ?

@@sigmaexploreAs of today Sep 27, 2024 the 225,000 ISK is about $1700 US Dollar per month.
is reykjavik worst than this? iguess this condition is normal.
sometimes it's worse, sometimes there are a few bad days but generally you can live here😀

Not worth living city, cold, snow, ice , dark etc.etc.
Terrible weather, expensive and 5hrs of sunlight (when its not raining or snowing) in winter.... Why would anyone want to live in a such a place?
You're right, but everyone can freely decide where I too live these days and that's beautiful
Reykjavik is trying to be the most expensive city in the 🌎! Got to go through a haystack needle 🪡 before you set foot in land 🇮🇸

Is it pure greed?. Or are there reasons such as high energy ,tax or other costs?
You are right, it seems to me that it is greed. You are only wrong about electricity, it is one of the cheapest in Europe, but fuel is very expensive
