This is one of my favourite sculptures, I spent many hours as a child looking at it fantasizing about stories from the old times.

It’s a lion, symbol for Stockholm. It’s to stop traffic- this street is mainly for pedestrians, even though ambulances, some taxis etc can pass. In other cities you’ll see other concrete animals with the same function

Hm, I’m not sure. I used to know at least three 24-hour cafes mostly used by cab drivers. When I google I can’t find them so maybe they’re not around any more. A few cafes are open to 10 or 11 pm (list on the link) then there’s a few night open 7 eleven stores where you can sit for a coffee, and some fast food burger places
