    Thank you. I have been completing small contract projects, but I’m preparing to take on a new client and design their entire training and onboarding system!
    This video was very helpful.

    Thank you so much! I wish my client would watch this video as well 😂 to get the feeling that I am not „complicated“ but reasonable.

      Lol! You're welcome! Reasonable is definitely a better way to put it :D

    This is awesome info! Question...in terms of scope...doesn't the designer need to analyze the learning situation BEFORE s/he knows what the design will entail in order to put it in a contract? So, at what point in the design process does the client sign the contract? Thank you so much!

    • @DevlinPeckYT
      @DevlinPeckYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question! In a lot of cases, the client comes to you already set on an eLearning solution. You can try to redirect the conversation to the goals, but in most cases they will just move along to the freelancer who is giving them what they want (and unfortunately in most cases that is a deliverable and not results...it really depends on who you're talking to at an org)

    Do you have a checklist (narration, custom images, etc.) that you send to the client before the contract so that they know all the options? Just thinking if that is helpful so then they know why in the contact it says, “does not include the following”

    • @DevlinPeckYT
      @DevlinPeckYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, I do not, but I usually discuss those options during a discovery call and try to get a good idea of what they're going for (and then I propose options in the proposal if they were interested in seeing how each route would be priced out)

    Anywhere online I could see a genericized copy of a sample freelance instructional design contract?

      I don’t have any on hand at the moment, Virginia, but I may create content about this in the future 😃
