I wish British McDonalds had more fun packaging like this. Japan in general when it comes to food understands the importance of novelty and aesthetics.
@@skoolynugenator1802 A lot of Japanese culinary videos, even if it's a review of another chef, will focus still on the artistry of it and will use delicate methods to show a cross section of the dish. A lot of Western food reviewers will just show post bite. I found it comical because McDonalds is such an American thing, but this is a burger for Gojira and the demo was so authentically Japanese.
That haul - the McD's stuff and the soda - would be at least $30 in the US. McD's has become crazy expensive but even when it was cheaper, er, "cheaper" it was still cheaper to eat at the Denny's across the street and at Denny's they refill your drink.
The quality... uhm, if you can call it quality, has deteriorated to the point where even the least of their menu items is ridiculously subpar. Once I ate In-N-Out years ago, McD's and the rest became extremely expendable. If I'm held at gunpoint and made to eat McD's, the only thing I could stomach would be a filet o' fish. It would be interesting to see if America will get any kind of promo for the new Godzilla movie. I'm really kind of surprised we never seem to get different flavors of pies... if I could afford to fly to Japan, I'd get a few hundred of those butterscotch pies! We can't even get cherry pies, which at one time used to be a common menu item. After seeing the different flavors of pie, I dislike McD's even more now!

@@Just_Johnnieyou’re watching the wrong movies if you believe that. Yes their summer blockbuster movies suck 9 times out of 10 but they make them to fund the good movies they make that don’t make as much money. The summer blockbuster movies follow a formula that kids love and the movie studios depend on those kids to get their parents to take them to see it. Thats why those types of movies are the same today as they were in the 1990s.
I was wondering why that chicken patty looked weird, then it dawned on me. Japanese batter has egg in it! Or at least egg white. In the US is more of a breading batter on the outside, but the nuggets are done like that in this video. And also from the look of it, those pastries may have been fried too. McD's hash browns are one of my weaknesses so I like seeing it on a burger.
What’s crazy is their food and snacks are waaaayyyy fancier than the packaging. That tells you they value their stuff as well as what they display on the outside of the container.
How do they monitor age with the vending machines? Also, Mcdonald's is so much more expensive in the US. That bag would have cost 30 dollars or more. (If we even had access to those sandwiches.)
Dope. In the US a Chicken Crisp is called a McChicken....instead of Mustard they use Mayo and a smaller patty. Same taste though (chicken nugget). Wish they spiced up the menu like this in the US to incorporate limited time sandwiches and drinks to promote films and other media more often.
Yeah, butterscotch is this sort of creamy flavor, like there are these candies in the US called "Werther's Originals" that are very popular with older people (I don't like 'em, they're too sweet for me) but they're butterscotch flavor. Well, back in the day (we're talking like 50 years ago because I'm almost 62 now) butterscotch was a pudding flavor you could always find. And the butterscotch pudding was good! Weird, but good, and better than those little Werther's things.
Always amazing what the various McDonald's franchises and corporate menus come up with to entice patrons. Waiting for the day when McDonald's introduces thick cut french fries inside the burgers (next step up from hash browns) only to mimic how some local regions (like in Pittsburg, etc.,) prefer their meat and potatoes in one sandwich. Excellent video!
Just by hearing the audio I can tell the wrappers on the burgers are a lot thicker than the ones in the US, which is nice because it probably means grease is less likely to escape. It's odd little things that you don't really think about until you see them done differently somewhere else.
Teriyaki with tartar sauce?? That sounds like something we’d make drunk friends eat back in the day to mess with them. Never had them together in my life.
really miss the original apple pies they had here in the US.. now its not the same with that bubbly crispy outside 😢 wish we had those specialties here too
I believe that they are the same apple pies but mcdonald's used to fry them, making the crispy and crunchy the way Japan still does. For many years now, mcdonald's bakes their pies, rather than frying them. And I believe that they started baking them as some kind of healthy alternative to frying. If I'm wrong about all of this, please someone correct me. Thanks
Just want to say that you made all of that look very good. The most recent thing mcds has given us in the US is a spicy chili sauce for our overpriced nuggets, but only for a limited time. The toys suck, too. 😢
15 USd for 4 burgers , 2 sides and an energy drink. Australia is sooo bad, I spoke to a Japanese lady today in fact at my work who was picking up her mother after a medical procedure and she mentioned how food is so expensive here during our conversation. Ofc she meant, not just fast food but all food. Here, 1 Mcdonalds burger will be $5 USD or about $8.50 AU. An energy drink will be (from a convenient vendor like that) about $7 Au or $4.50 USD, then add those sides too... Its crazy now, our incomes have not changed in years but cost of things climbs each year... Somehow, we all just seem to accept it.
