I have made to throws doing the Tunisian double crochet like that's in your video. However I have the same number of stitches at the top as I do at the bottom. But both of my pieces are bias. I tried blocking them but that didn't help. They are still crooked.

I love this version through the stitch! It looks very similar to drop stitches, but a lot less effort.
