25:00 i know i m late to the party but i m sooo sad i searched for this song literally everywhere and unfortunately it’s not on spotify anymore, hope one day it will come back because it’s an absolute banger
Wow dude.. just found your channel, I am going through this creative phase on logic pro these days and creating the same genres of music as you are making. every thing you do sounds great and is well explained, sparkles my creativity too. thank you and keep creating ! cheers
@@TrevBarnes Hi Trev, I have a request. I can easily come up with ideas, melodies, chord structures and basically arrive at a nice demo. But the rest of it is much more difficult. How do you actually completely finish a song up to 100% of its potential ? The first half seems easy to me but the second not at all. Could you elaborate on that in one of your next videos ? That would be super helpful. Thank you,
I sure could elaborate in a video, because that’s an extremely common occurrence in the creative process. If I may ask you, what more are you looking for from the initial demo? Is it an aspect of mixing? Is it adding layers to make the song dynamic? Would love to hear more specifically what troubles you’re facing.
@@TrevBarnes Yes it is about turning good ideas into a coherent song structure, maybe leaving out some of those ideas to leave more space, arranging wisely to avoid drowning everything in multiple instruments clashing with each others, editing correctly the tiny details, and mostly mixing right so everything can shine ;) I know it's a lot but even after years of practice, tutorials and even professional training this still doesn't feel easy to complete ! Thank you for answering so quickly by the way.
Great video, glad I found your channel! Kinda off topic but would you be able to do a video on artists like Mk.Gee and Dijon and how they achieve their sound?
The cover art for the album is very cool and original! It's underrated how much you can do with Logic stock plug-ins. Have you tried to AI Mastering Assistant in Logic? It's very good.
Thank you so much, it took me a super long time to make lol. I have tried the AI mastering in Logic, and I'll be honest, the first few passes I ran through it didn't impress me. I think it's a great potential alternative to Ozone, it just didn't end up working that well for me. Maybe as time passes the technology will improve
No kidding, it looks meticulous. I think you did some very logical and straight forward decisions getting back to this song. You had a clear vision in both mixing and mastering. I'm just getting started producing, mixing and mastering so maybe I haven't trained my ears just yet. Been an audiophile for years though and very interested in both the technical and of course the creative aspects of music. You inspire me, and for that I thank you! Plus points for the dogs and the cozy and educative vibe in your videos!@@TrevBarnes
@@philipalmen5116 That truly does mean the world to hear. It’s taken a long time to learn but one of the most important lessons is to scale back “thinking” about something to make room for “feeling” something. It’s a tricky thing, but as you produce and continue to create, it’s much easier to let a process flow. Can’t wait to hear some of your productions!
