I always check reviews, rarely reading 5 star reviews. I read 4 star and 3 star, then try to read between the lines and determine if the reviewer had a clue. You can tell many times if a bad review was idiot caused. Good reviewers are easy to spot, they give tidbits of information that matter. Five star reviews typically don't give any critical info but do indicate broad spectrum satisfaction. Sites that only show five star reviews, (there are many) are met with a great deal of skepticism. Even idiots can screw up a good product so there should always be the lower ratings. This disc falls under the, "Really, it can't be that good" review analysis.
