"I worked on a backglass solution for android for years", I did this same thing on the Arcade1up pinball modification which is also android based for Zen Pinball specifically except I didn't have the more modern version of android or the APIs you're utilizing so my solution was more complex, I'd done that within a month or two prior to any Sharpin release of this solution. Glad to see you guys finally got it figured out after I did it in that modification... I was curious why you weren't just mirroring it in the first place. In my next iteration, I will be capturing the GL buffer itself and re-directing it to the presentation view instead of mirroring it. Additionally, you should be forcing Zen to believe that it's an "Android TV" rather than a standard android OS to remove the hints on screen and make it more "Cabinet" oriented.

I’m sorry, but I don’t like it at this point. As an Ultra owner, I’ve been very interested in this, but it needs some tweaks before I, personally, will want it. First off, IMO, the “back glass” needs to have a hinge so it can fold down onto the playfield while not in use. As it is, I don’t like the way it sits like that, and as I use a dust cover to protect the unit while not in use, it would help if it folded down! Just a better design! Shouldn’t be hard to implement that here! Also, I wish the back glass didn’t have to be ‘adjusted’ for every game, (backgrounds, etc.) Ideally, it should happen automatically! I mean, I already don’t appreciate having to use a remote control to power the thing on all the time like it is and have to use it to choose games, and everything else! A touch screen would’ve been so much better! And a simple switch could’ve been so easy to install for the purpose to power it on and off. I don’t quite understand why this hasn’t been done. So having to manually set up every game’s background is another major hassle we don’t need to deal with! Maybe I can consider this iteration a first generation that will be improved soon, but as it is, I won’t be buying into it now. Hopefully, soon in the future, a better design will pop and then I’ll add it to my machine then! Looking forward to that!
The idea is great, but I can't live with the fact that the score is STILL on the main screen at the same time as it is on the second screen. Not for me.

Das ist ja ärgerlich! Jetzt habe ich Mitte Dezember den Ultra gekauft, das Upgrade würde mich jetzt 250€ kosten statt der 100€ Preisunterschied zwischen Ultra und Ultra Max.
