Guys, my panoramic has just stop working by closing, exactly like in this movie. I suspect that it needs to much force to close, since now is wintertime. I will see how it works in springtime. BUT, guys, if you would read the user manual, you would see that there are 2 ways to close the panoramic: automatically- by considering a force limitation (to avoid accidents, to not catch someone's hand or body - this is the normal way, and the second way is manually- without considering the force limitation - this means you need to be sure that no one/nothing is there to obstruct the closing. This can be made as follows: You rotate the button all the way back to closed position and tilt the button by pulling downwards the rear side of the button and keeping by hand in this position until is completely closed. It will work without being needed to helping the closing with your hand...
I would like to know the part number for that roof lining as am building a Golf 6 hatchback with a panoramic roof on it, I would like to order the roof lining at VW dealer. Thanks in advance.
Had the same problem - what worked was to reset the roof system (pulled out the safety, inserted it and set up the system by holding the control button down as is showed in other videos) and during adjustment of the roof I pushed and holded down the window when it was moving forward - it closed fine and now works just ok.
Try to take out the sunroofs fuse from the fuse box and then put it back. That should reset the sunroofs motor. Do that in the close position. If not try to reset the motor manually by taking it out. There is a video on TH-cam. Good luck.
@@przemas5485 Yes, I actually have. I had the car at a Vw mechanic, they didn't know about this problem. They had a computer set up to reset it all and greased the sunroof thoroughly, but they couldnt fix it 100%. When I helped the sunroof with my hand by pushing it forward to close, it worked fine. But after it was at the mechanic, I didn't have to use so much force to help it. So I thought it must be something to do with the lubrication. So I cleaned the rubber strip between the rear window and the roof. and gave it a lot of silicone spray. Now it runs without any problems again!
phil20MKV theres a reason why i said that and its cause the leaky moonroof cause my friends cayenne to fry some type of module so now it turn to a $3700 fix..
Hello,my car was out of garanty my local garagist told me that vw normally replacing the entire sunroof if they have such problems and that this is very expensive.
Well I'm from Brazil and I found out a garage that makes the repair. It will cost about R$ 1.200,00 or about US$ 300,00. I heard the service has quality, but I will sell the car as soon as possible.
