I've been watching your vids since Brothers of Dayz and I wanted to get dayz for the longest time, but all i had was an xbox. Now that i have it, I cant help but feel thankful for your vids. I know they aren't exactly "how to" vids but they still gave me a one up on most of the new xbox players like myself. So I guess I should say thanks for teaching me a lot about the game :)

Mk Cheff Its the phone and the fact he has very good game awareness in dayz. He heard where the shot came from. Helps if you have a headset with a quality soundscape aswell

Hello! First off, merry new year! I mean, happy new year! Regarding the map: On our community server (with RP, too) I've been playing this map for a while. It's ... quite lovely. Yeah, a lot of traditional camo goes out the window and you cannot hide a lot (whether that is a person or a tent) as well as you could when everything was green, but it has a fitting flair to the current time of the year if you ask me. In turn some old camos like the winter stuff that was almost never used is now the new deal it seems. Also, this mod is a good sign of modding or for a growing modding community, I think. Even though it's perhaps but a "texture (and mesh) edit at its core.

Really is a cool map though, it's nice to see the standalone is catching up to the mod of DayZ. I still prefer the mod, cause it has loads more stuff and probly cause I haven't transitioned to standalones controls, still used to armas.
Let's go back to the old days when a modded server would flood the coasts with working cars and all airfields had helicopters available for dogfights. Without higher server capacity that we were promised this game fails to capture what Arma 2 mod did in the past... Lets hope developers can make us all proud of a game so full of potential.
how cool it would be if it was not just snow textures on the ground, but they had a survival aspect to it as well, with needing to keep warm, right sort of clothing, fires needed to offset the cold, ammo jamming when trying to reload cuz of the freezing temp ect ect ect. Modded servers and stuff like this are the future of dayz, lets just hope the playerbase is still there when the game is more complete, and the modding community has a more functioning base game to mod.
I don't know if I should get DayZ, it looks good after ur video (first one I watched), and I know my pc can handle it, buut my internet is really shit at the mo, like 500kb/s download and over 600 ping in r6s (I think fiber optic is gonna b put down in March/April, so hopefully is better!). I play a lot of Rust so I can pick it up quick. Is it worth getting?
Only real bad thing about this map is the tree LOD's or textures. You have full trees and bushes in the distance but bare ones up close or when you zoom in.
I play mainly on the round table gaming server and since they added mods I don't think I've use the steam DayZ launcher once. Again modders showing the developers how it really should be done 😁
I can't get the Dayz SA launcher to work because of this error -> "unable to connect to steam. SteamApi_Init returned false. Steam isn't running, couldn't find steam, AppId is unreleased, don't own AppId". Can anyone help me please?
Hey @M1NDR, i was wondering on how you hide the status box up on the top left. Its ruining my immersion and the only reason i dont play on modded. Thanks!

Dayz in its beginnings on Arma 2 was just fantastic and fun to play. It became awful with all these mods and way to easy

The mods make the games playable BECAUSE Bohemia made them that way. Wouldn't have had DayZ without it...
