I like a lot of slow moving stories too, they're some of my favourites! Usually if I see reviews of a book and people say it's boring I'm like: "Oooh, excellent, I probably won't think it is!" I'm checking out The God of Endings!
I absolutely loved The Last House on Needless Street and The Diviners. Both were 5 stars and some of my favorite books in the years I read them. I’m also curious if you wound up reading Night Film this past year and what you thought about it.
Now I'm intrigued about Curse of Saints, maybe will read it this year. I need the Needless Street book, I've heard quite a lot of good things about it and there is a cat perspective, so sounds like a book for me. I have Diviners and an audiobook, but I'm not really an audiobook person.
I really appreciate how Libba Bray really set the books in that specific time period. I get so annoyed when I’m reading a book and it’s “1920s” but nothing is solidified to be IN the 1920s. Bray really solidifies where that book series is set
The Diviners, right!? Why doesn't anyone recommend it anymore!? Foolishly, I've only read the first two. I really need to finish the rest of the series. A lot of the other books you mentioned are on my radar, but you might have pushed a few of them further up to the top of my TBR. Although I own about half of these books, the only one I have actually read is The Diviners. Fortunately my main goal this year is to read primarily from my own bookshelves.
Everyone the most Inspiring Book for 2025 ~~ LEAD me where the LIGHT IS by N . Galilea ! Highlighting something in every chapter soooo goood~ !!!! ⭐🍮⭐🌠

The audiobook is amazing. The author does all the voices so well! And with a trans Atlantic 1920’s accent!

The Diviners has been on my bookshelf for 5+ years. I really need to pick it up soon 😅
