This popped up in my recommended don TH-cam and I'm subscribing immediately. All of these books - save for Killing Stalking (not for me) - sound amazing but you SOLD ME on Daughters of the Lake. The way you talk about this book your voice and eyes are full of wonder and awe and I love when a book does that to a person.
Im interested to hear your thoughts on Between Wrath and Mercy Book #2.... I read it late last year, and I just couldn't like it, but I gave book #1 five stars so it was disappointing! Dewalt is such a good character though... I loved him and want to read more about him. I just found myself getting a little frustrated with Rain and Emmaline in book 2.
omg i love killing stalking, it's so hard to pinpoint why exactly - i started reading it to annoy myself about the 'bad bpd representation' i'd heard other people mention (i also have bpd) and ended up obsessed with it lmao
I feel like "Final Girls" might get overlooked because there is also a pretty popular thriller with the same name? IDK, but I didn't know about this one and I love seanan mcguire (haven't read much by her pen names yet).
If you like nature horror, you should read the Southern Reach Trilogy. It has somewhat of a sci-fi slant to it, but mostly the imagery is the savagery of nature (corrupted or not). I loved them, Annihilation is still one of my favorite books of all time.
I read The Me You Love in the Dark (because of your video), and What Moves the Dead (because I want to read all T. Kingfisher's body of work) and loved them both.
okay, I'm not much of a romantasy reader, but between wrath & mercy sounds really good and subverts some of the tropes I tend to dislike. Definitely will check it out!
This video could be a bad one for my wallet as if I don’t no them and I trust your opinion on them my wallet will be crying 😭 at the thought of getting more books 📚 please stay safe and enjoy your reading 📖 prayers and thoughts for you and your family love your Aussie friend John ❤❤❤

Omg shut UP! I love Killing Stalking’ so happy to hear anybody else talking about it. Cause it makes me feel less insane, ha

I am really excited about Dark Harvest. It is also being turned into a movie too.

Sour Candy was so strange, but good!
Haven't read any of these. :D But I love seeing that the book I gifted is on your favourites. :)
