    This comparison is very helpful. We understood that the high RPM advertised by Brother is valid for 1-5 mm stitch lengths only, and the speed will automatically drop depending on the stitch length - like in this video. While Tajima SAI's 800 RPM speed is much more consistent for small to wide stitch lengths, although it will also drop when sewing wider stitches - but not as drastic as Brother's.

      Poppy you are right , basically Tajima technology is passed down from their industrial machines , and Brothers Technology is based on there domestic machines.

    Not only about Rotational speed it’s the speed and efficiency of the colour change and trimming action

    What if you change the acceleration speed at the PR1050x? what is the time then??

    • @Davidfisheremb
      @Davidfisheremb  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s the long stitches that The brother has to slow down much more than Tajima even though set at the same rotational speed

      Rose Rodgers consider this , Tajima have taken their R and D from their industrial machines and developed a commercial embroidery machine Brother are coming from domestic machines and developing a commercial machine The Tajima can not be matched

    Hello David ben Emanuel Fisher
    I am a sewing machine repairer in France, and I would like to reproduce your experience with the same pattern as the one you used in your video in order to reach the same conclusions as you, going a little further.
    On my channel, I dismantle the machines to show what's inside, understand how it works and why one model would be better than another.
    Since the beginning of my channel, I have wanted to make the comparison between a PR and an SAI.
    Last week, a customer took one to me for repair. The opportunity for me to disassemble the two machines and make a point-by-point comparison.
    The question then arises about the embroidery test to do.
    I said to myself that the best thing was to contact you to ask if you would agree to send me the same reason as the one you used in order to maintain "scientific" consistency and to show that your video is not bullshit.
    Of course, I would cite you as well as the video and your channel on my own video and I would reference you in the link in the description.
    I thank you in advance
    Wilk-Teste Thibaut, Fil-Mécanique

      If you think logically- Brother have gone from making domestic sewing machines and now make a commercial machine -besides all the other equipment that they manufacture.Tajima has gone from making industrial embroidery machines and used that same technology to make a commercial machine -Tajima only make embroidery machine no other equipment .The Tajima to give a better end result without fail.

    I prefer Ricoma over anything based on the accessories you get at the set price but what the actual fuck, the Brother PR1050X goes up to 1000 spm, you put it on a slower speed setting which is obvious.

    • @Davidfisheremb
      @Davidfisheremb  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your analysis is too simple the longer satin stitch is what drops the average speed lower as the stepping motors can only move at a certain maximum speed,The Tajima operating software that controls the superior quality stepping motors is what allows the Tajima to be quicker than other models, as well as the speed of the colour change mechanism. This is a result of Tajima;s Superior R&D.Keep in mind Brothers priority product is not Embroidery machines its Printers, so the focus is lost.

    • @JoeMalovich
      @JoeMalovich 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Ricoma is known for shady advertising, I would take this comment with a grain of salt.

    • @Davidfisheremb
      @Davidfisheremb  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Speed setting is the same it’s the long stitch that it has to slow down more than the Tajima because of the size and quality of the stepping motors for X and Y as well as software

      Ricoma is biased and based on the reviews it's a 50/50 chance you'll get a bad machine. I'm thinking about the Happyjapan and the Tajima. I been x the brother machines soon as I found out they don't keep a consistent speed.
