95% of the dogs shown in this clip are not Japanese Spitz dogs. Even the ones that slightly resemble a Japanese Spitz do not do the dog justice at all. If you google Japanese Spitz dogs you will actually see how gorgeous this dog really is. I have 2 of them and we are always stopped by strangers on walks who comment on how stunning our dogs are.

We Got a japanese spitz, pomeranian mix. Looks like a yellow spitz 😅 almost all other traits are from spitz(she is a bit smaller than a spitz though) Alot of the pictures look like spitz/chihuahua mix. The Face shows it
My husband got me 2 female Japanese Spitz puppies as an additional to our native Philippine dog who is a senior (got him as a rescue when I was a college freshman) and our 1 yr old Lhasa Apso. I am so happy that all of the dogs seem to get along well and peacefully coexist, even including our cats (we have 4 cats). We don't have kids and it's only us and my mom (elderly woman) in our house and it feels so lively at home. I wish the twin Japanese Spitz will grow happy and healthy under our care.
I had mix breed japanese spitz pomeranian dog unfortunately he died last May 12 mother's day due to car accident😭😭😭😭 i missed him so much. Till now it's really hard for me to move on. I love him dearly😭💔 he's the sweetest, my angel, my theraphy when am sad and stressful...i miss u so much my love😭😭😭😭
interesting video.. I'm considering getting a japanese Spitz for my family, however I'm concerned about leaving it alone for a work day (maybe 3x week) for 8 hours? Will they bark/be unhappy?
They will be distraught Lucy and yes they will bark, they will bark when you're home I can't imagine what one would do when left alone for 8 hours a day. I would not get a dog if I worked those hours. I know that isn't what you want to hear but it is just not fair to a dog especially one that desperately wants to be a companion. Save yourself some misery don't do it just now. Loads of people will show up now and tell you it is fine, I wouldn't want to be their dog!
I disagree, I’m in the same conditions as all working people over the word and I’m getting a japanease spitz. You just have to be sure to walk him for an hour before going to work, leaving him with toys to chew and to occupy him and walking him and playing with him when you come back. Buy also a dog course to learn the good habits and how to train him positively
@@roxy0001 So you didn't actually own one when you advised someone that a dog would be OK on its own for 8 hours at a time! People will not walk the dog regularly for an hour before work, very few will even walk them when they get home. A dog will not conveniently amuse itself with toys all day it just doesn't work like that with real animals. What will happen is that the dog will cry and scream all day and it will be neurotic when you come home and you will not have the time or energy to teach it anything. I am really sorry to tell you that but sometimes you can't make things fit into your world. Take a look at any dog shelter or free ads' page where they are trying to off load dogs they've only had few a couple of months!
I have a Japanese spitz mix with corgi and I leave him in the crate for about 9 hours at least 4x a week. In the beginning he barked for 5 minutes, now he is used to it and doesn’t bark anymore. He doesn’t like to be left alone for sure.
Mine is also! But he's also cuddly and loving, loves his whole family and his family loves him! Never had such a loving dog brilliantly intelligent and hilarious!😍
Number 13 is wrong and 15, my Japanese Spitz loves the snow and cold. He also alerts me to bad people, he will pee on something of theirs and has never been wrong. They may not be big and vicious but they do a good job. My Spitz helps me with my Chickens and Turkeys.

We have a JS in an apartment. She is very happy and we take her for 4 walks a day and play with her and activate her inside too. It works. 🙏
Mine is in an apartment and is just fine. So long as you give them a chance to run around outside every day they’re good with apartment life.
