The average big box machete out of the package just seems wanting of improvement and handle is one of those improvements. You have to feel like the handle is something you can keep ahold of or allow proper leverage as you are working the blade to cut. I appreciate your approach to this handle. Nice work.
Found the same exact machete at a yard sale and it's in as bad of condition as the one in the video. Searched machetes restoration to see how I could go about restoring it. Looks like I found the right video, although I'm going to try to save the handle. It has some pretty cool history
Simple comentario.
ESE MACHETE, EN SU CONDICION ORIGINAL Y CON UNA SIMPLE LIMPIEZA SUPERFICIAL, VALDRIA ENTRE 30 Y 40 DOLARES, EN SU CONDICION ACTUAL, DESPUES DE LA "RESTAURACION" ESCASAMENTE ALCANZARIA EL VALOR DE ENTRE 19 Y 23 DOLARES
A nice utilitarian resto. Doesn't have to look like a mirror. I like it. And something you won't be afraid of using. 👍👌
Thank you

That was freaking amazing! It turned out great! It was so interesting to see how it was restored.

Just found one of the exact same kind too, though in a little bit better shape. Did yours have the label on it still?
Are we talking...collins?
@@gonorrheadischarges3021 nice name 👌 👍 😎 😀
*What a cleaver! A real machete! I also want to learn how to clean rust from iron with electrolysis. Nice work!*
Oh yea, thanks. It was fun. Electrolysis is pretty simple and effective

My machete looks almost exactly the same! Except even more rusty haha thanks
I can learn many useful things from you 👍
I honestly had the exact same machete that I'm working on right now
Have fun with your restoration!
Great job buddy, I liked the result👍
Thanks, I appreciate your comment
Video very helpful
Muy buen trabajo, tomé algunas ideas para mis restauraciones.... saludos
Excelente trabajo
Should have used the band saw for the whole handle removal.
What wood? Walnut?
The handle! C'mon...
Nice work....
40 different pairs of gloves were used in the making of this video
Un error que no todo lo notarán. Debió de dejarle un hueco al mango para poder ponerle una soga o algo así lo atas a tu ante brazo. Saludos.
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
Jangan lupa di bersihkan ya
Terima kasih. saya tetap diminyaki dan tajam
How many watts or volts were you putting in the water
Lowest setting on a battery charger is what I use.
@@bluetic7 How many inches is this machete?
It is just under 23”
@@Unknown-bc6qw I think around 18”
Now keep it in the boot of the car with the wheel nut tool, tire jack and spare wheel…
0:16 that’s a big ass mosquito
