    Great you could try and repair rather than replace, good work!

      Thank you. This was the plan but there was not much to do to fix the holes in the silicone. I couldn’t find the membrane separately. You get the actuator as a complete unit only.

    Having similar problems with mine at the moment. The fuel cap actuator makes a fizzing sort of sound when locking/ unlocking which leads me to think this is the issue. Also i have a feeling it has been replaced previously as it only has one line into it. The problem I have now is that the rear passenger side door won't lock, the button is really stiff and only goes down about a quarter of the way. Great video, helped me confirm what might be wrong.

    Mine opens after a few seconds all doors after I centrally locked all doors. Except a back side door keeps locked always for the outside. Will give it a try, thank you, now I know where to look.

    I have a similar problem where the alarm stopped working (closing/locking the doors) and now when I use they key for the drivers to lock it, the door locks, but the other 3 + trunk stay open. Any tips on how can I fix this?

    • @KUNIQUE
      @KUNIQUE  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It sounds like that there is a leak in your system. Or did you check the pump under your backseat if all hoses are connected or if the pump works?

    • @arancioimpulsivo
      @arancioimpulsivo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KUNIQUE All hoses are conected, I think it's the pump because it makes no sound when I open the door.

    Hi Kunique, I have a question, if you can help me. In my 190e my central vacuum- locking system works perfectly, i can unlock and lock from the trunk and driver door but the passenger front door sometimes locks only itself when i enter the key. This means that the door lock actuator has a problem. When i remove the fuse number 12 (that controls the central locking system) and put it back together i can unlock all the doors from the passenger door but after some time i can not and i should do that again (unless it "recovers" itself after. On the other hand i am not 100% sure if the actuator is the culprit because i am suspicious of a potential short given that in December it blew up the No 12 fuse then it worked for 8 months perfectly. Because some water from some tiny holes under the rusty battery tray made their way into the car body where the alarm is located and then it worked for 8 months perfectly (this area is vulnerable to rust in these cars as in your case). How can i test a potential short? What do you think?

    • @KUNIQUE
      @KUNIQUE  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Yiannis, I wish I could help. But unfortunately I have conditional electronic knowledge. The only thing I would have done would have been to replace the fuse instead of getting out and plugged in again. I'm sorry that I can't help you. I hope you can find the issue. Take care!

      @yiannistsiarektsis3215 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KUNIQUE I did it, i replaced it and i was replacing it all the time. It seems that the system recovers itself doing that and it works temporarily. Never mind! Thanks in advance for your response! And continue with even more awesome videos!

  • @tvw1514

    I'm curious about your diagnosis procedure, because a friend has the same issue. The pump is working, so there probably is a leak somewhere in the vacuum system lines or the actuators. How did you exactly check for leaks in the vacuum system in the doors and other actuators? How did you know that the fuel door lock actuator had a leak?

    • @harrydouglas8698
      @harrydouglas8698 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you will hear the leak in the boot when you unlock the car if it is the fuel locking actuator.

    • @KUNIQUE
      @KUNIQUE  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it’s pretty much how Harry already described. For my issue it was pretty easy because of the noise in the boot. But if the leak is at the door lock, you have to pull out the door cards and put your finger on each pipe while opening the door with the key, to see which actuator is broken. I hope this helps.

    Wie ist das mit einem 190D, der vom Werk aus keine Zentralverriegelung hat? Könnte man den theoretisch problemlos einbauen oder muss man da viel im Inneren umbauen?

    In meinem 190er funktioniert die ZV einwandfrei. Was seit 2 Monaten allerdings nicht mehr funktioniert, ist der orthopädische Fahrersitz. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass die ZV Pumpe beim Schließen immer 30 Sekunden nachläuft. Also bis sie von alleine als Schutzmaßnahme aufhört. Sobald man die Zündung einschaltet, läuft die Pumpe ebenfalls 30 Sekunden. Dabei ist ein Zischen in der Fahrertür zu hören. Kann das Leck dort sein und als einzige Ausfallerscheinung tritt der orthopädische Sitz in Erscheinung? Sollte das Fehlerbild dann nicht eine defekte ZV an der Fahrertür sein? So zumindest wäre mein laienhaftes Verständnis.

    • @KUNIQUE
      @KUNIQUE  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alex, sorry für die späte Rückmeldung. Also mit den orthopädischen Sitzen kenne ich mich leider nicht so aus. Aber ich würde an der Tür ansetzen, wenn es dort zischt. Könnte sein, dass du dort ein Leck hast. Was ich aber komisch finde ist, dass die Türen dennoch auf und zu gehen. Bei mir hat das Leck dazu geführt, dass die ZV komplett ausgefallen ist. Sorry, dass ich nicht weiter behilflich sein kann.

    Hi ,All mercedes 190d have central locking?
    Thanks .

    • @KUNIQUE
      @KUNIQUE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Carlos, sorry I don’t know that. But to check if there is any central locking, you could check if there is a pump under your back seat and if there is any actuator on your door locks.

    I have the same problem At my 190d 1986 , i looked to the actuator but is not like yours , do you think if i change it , it wil work?

    • @KUNIQUE
      @KUNIQUE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Malik, this is hard to say as I didn’t see yours. But in my case it worked well. Luckily the actuator was the only leak in the vacuum system. Maybe you hold your finger on the tube while closing the doors. If the doors lock properly it’s only the actuator which needs replacing. I hope this helps you out.
