Love my S24U...So Cool!! They nailed it, Massive Screen...Crisp...dont think id really ever go 4 the Fold...the S series is 😎...cant wait 4 what they bring in future 😯😯😯
Love your videos! Thank you. I stick to my S24U but I am disappointed it takes Samsung so long to update the camera. I still have problems in certain situations, and by the time they fix it, the S25U is out - at least it feels that way.
I'm sticking with s24 ultra I went for Fold 5 last year and was disappointed. I got me s9 tab ultra anyways and that's best tablet out there no need to have 2 in 1.
One issue I notice no reviewer mentions about the Fold devices is what the crease in the middle does to the phone. I am not talking about the crease itself, but more so how the screen protector peels off down the middle. I tend to take extra care of my phones. They are very expensive products, so I buy them the best cases on the market to keep safe. No matter how careful I was with the Fold 3 and the Fold 4, the screen protector would still peel down the center of that crease. Don't get me wrong, I adore folding devices. I was even considering the One Plus Open, but the unique features like the S Pen and Dex that Samsung phones offers, which other Android manufacturers don't, are too good to pass up. I would say be wary of these Fold devices until the technology has been perfected.
You can use them fine without a protector it does not void warranty, also you can buy and replace the screen protector yourself, its quite easy. Its not technology just a film protector that you can easily buy.
I was always a samsung guy, not because of any brand loyalty but because I felt that samsung delivered the best value for money. I almost always used the note line of products and loved my note 20 ultra. When I had the possibility for an upgrade I took it and got the fold 4. Now I'm on my second replacement device which is already showing the first signs of screen peeling. I've never been as careful with any phone in my life and only have problems. I'm living in Germany and have to send in my phone every damn time to get it repaired. In the beginning samsung was very friendly but now they started to drop hints I might have to pay for the upcoming repair. I personally don't see myself buying another folding phone for years and whether or not i get another samsung I'm not too sure about
Im trading in my s24 ultra for the fold 6. Although i know the s24 ultra has its advantages, i like the bigger screen for multitasking and smaller screen when folded.
I had the S21 ultra. I miss the camera everyday but not the size! Many pockets dont fit. It also gets obvious when sitting down and have the Ultra huge diagonal size in the way. Today I am on a fold4 but have to upgrade. Its either Fold6 or S24 ultra for me
My Note20 Ultra finally kicked the bucket a month ago. Glue melted from being so hot in the Florida weather and then water got in it. Doesn't even turn on anymore which sucks bc I really liked that phone. Finally pulled the trigger on the Fold 6 and also got the wife the Flip 6. We both had phones from 2020 so these new ones will be a huge upgrade!
Be thankful you weren't out west; more than just the glue would've melted.😅 You're making a great jump up in units, so you'll be having a blast learning all the goodies and customization.
I have a Note 10plus and will be upgrading to the S24 Ultra. Although I love the foldable the price.....reviews about inner screens breaking easily.....the dust/ water resistance and camera not being Ultra level is the deal breaker for me
Im thinking of upgrading from s24u to fold 6..but man u stated the most obvious differences and advantages. I honestly didnt need to know that the fold 6 has a bigger display when opened up or a narrow display when folded..my eyes already see those differences. How was about media consumption and how they differ on each phone etx?
I just traded in my Fold 4 for the 24 Ultra. While I truly miss the ability to transform the Fold, and the wonderful experience of the large screen and multitasking, I had a poor ending experience with the Fold, and am not looking back. I had my Fold for 2 years and was looking forward to using it until the Android updates stopped or until samsung truly updated the Fold. However, one day, my Fold stopped folding open flat. It could only fold out 165 degrees instead of 180 degrees. Within 2 weeks, the phone was dead and would not start up. With a LOT of experimentation, I figured out that I had to have the phone on a samsung 25 watt charger and, as soon as the phone indicated it was charging, I had to hold in the power button for about 40 seconds until the phone started up (often it took a few tries). But, as soon as I unplugged it, the phone immediately died. By the way, even using this method, the phone wouldn't charge but also didn't lose charge. So, for my first time after 20 years of samsung phone ownership, I was forced to immediately purchase a new phone. It was extremely upsetting and disappointing. Fortunately, my phone would work if I kept it plugged in so that I could get my messages and calls while I waited for the 24 Ultra that I ordered from Samsung. To Samsung's credit, they provided good discounts and a decent trade-in value to help with the new purchase. And, the phone came fairly quickly. But, please also be aware that my wife's 22 Ultra ($1200 new) had a higher trade-in value than my Fold 4 ($1800 new), which was bought at the same time. Finally, again in Samsung's favor, I will continue to purchase my phones and small appliances directly from Samsung because of the deals and efficient process, and ability to live chat with a real person.
For me and my needs is the fold, bigger screen, easy to use...not getting any younger, can read better any messages, info etc and when it comes to entertainment, can watch a movie, presentations, games, etc much much easier. My first fold was the 4, currently have the 5 and on the 24th of July the 6 will arrive, no questios ask, the fold is the way to go for now. As always. Enjoy your videos very informative, have a great day!
are there many apps optimized for the Fold's large screen (with its unique dimensions)? when you watch videos, does it "fit" the screen somehow? or do you get just 16:9 ratio standard (and thus not fully maximize the large screen area)?
Last month I purchased the S24U and I already had the Z Fold 5. I was comparing them and I love them both. I decided to take advantage of the $1200 trade in price and traded the 5 for the 6. I plan to keep both phones because I can't decide which I prefer and I can afford to keep them both at this time.
I'm beginning my search for a new phone as the battery on my S22 Ultra is starting to lose it's charge and wanted to say that this video was very helpful to me. Thank you!
I have an S24 Ultra that I use when I'm out and about, and a Samsung S9 Ultra tablet that I use like a laptop at home. The S9 Ultra's screen is amazing, and you can buy a keyboard case that has a built-in stand and a place to store the S Pen. The case also has a magnetic cover on the back so you don't lose the S Pen.
7:07 you can clearly see that the fold 6 has a better battery than the s24u. On the S24U it says "a full charge will last about 1 day" while on the fold 6 it says"a full charge will last about 4d 4h" also the s24u has 14h 26m left at a soc of 58% and the fold 6 has 1d 23h left at a soc of 47% so how does the s24u have an advantage here if on the fold 6 its obv better.
I now own both of these. Essentially I wanted to have my cake and eat it too but one thing I've noticed is missing from many fold 6 reviews is just how nice it feels when folded. The S24 U is a big phone. It just is. It takes up a lot of room in your pocket and those corners need to be adjusted at times. But the Folded Fold 6 has just the right amount of compactness that allows more comfort but maintains usability on the outer display. Then when I need a larger display for multitasking for work or watching videos, I just unfold it. I think the fold 6 will be my new daily driver as ultra zoom is not really needed in everyday life. I will probably trade the S24 U in for a fold ultra if one comes out but if it is bigger than the fold 6, I'll pass.
Selling my S24 Ultra and ordered a fold 6. I got $700 for an iphone xs max that I never use. The cameras are a definite compromise but I have a Vivo X100 Pro global and will take that with me anytime I feel like I need to grab excellent photos. For my everyday use I think the Fold 6 will be pretty great.
I had a note 9, really love that phone but broke the screen earlier this year. I needed a phone quickly, so I go a s24ultra. I felt that I had the same experience as my note 9, but with much much better hardware and software (the S Pen really evolved since my first note 2, but rip sd card). I really like my s24ultra, but I want to change my user experience so I ordered a Fold 6 black craft 512GB with the S Pen case. Also got the watch 7 ultra, it was cheaper than the normal watch 7. I hope to receive it next week, they say it will ship the 18th. I will give my s24ultra to my dad as a gift, he has a note 8 and he needs a phone with a pen and likes to take picture. I'll repair and refurbish my note 9 and use it as a side device.
First year of having the Fold 3 was great. I mainly used it for gaming/entertainment. That quickly changed after the warranty expired... First my sound went out, then shortly after my wireless chip wouldn't be enabled at all. Come to find out, both are stored in the hinge. Price tag to repair was +$600. Never again, will I get a Fold.
I rock a ZF5 and an S24U. Already preordered my ZF6! My S24U is my daily driver. My ZF5 is for tablet functionality and when I dress up to go out. Like Flossy says, I flex in public with my fold...
You put Fold 4 Advantage on the screen when talking about the advantages over the s24. Otherwise, great video. I have a fold 3, would there be a video of the differences? Im looking to upgrade. Thanks 😊
I was very interested in upgrading to a Fold this year instead of going with the standard Ultra model. But the lack of major upgrades to the Fold 6 kept me from pulling the trigger this year. Maybe next year with the Fold 7 if they actually make some legit upgrades to the device.
Pre-ordered the Fold 6 and traded in my Fold 4... Great trade discount and to be honest, the S-Pen not being built in doesn't bother me since I carry one in my sling bag
I have used the Fold 4 since it has been released and I recently bought a s24 Ultra. I had too many issues with my Fold 4 Hinge and outer screen breaking. You really need to baby the Fold phones which is why I switched to the Ultra.
Until the fold has the same specs as the ultra. Ill never change my ultra. Fold needs s pen. Same camera system as the ultra and same size front screen like the ultra.
Best video to answer my burning question. I went from Note 10 (still love) to S24U. I like it and love the camera but I need dual screens. I wish you could have done a side by side photo of the Max zoom if the same landscape.. The only issue I have with my s24U is the weight which it is the same as the fold... It is a brick. Thought Samsung by the 6thEd would have figured out how to minimize the crease since their competitor has. Thanks for the video! Blessings In like the AI transcription-summary, camera for fun, would you jump even with that crease?
I love the idea of having a foldable phone because I really liked my Z Fold3. In my opinion, I think the Z fold 6 is a downgrade from my S24 Ultra. The price is not keeping me away, because I’m a huge Samsung fan. I won’t be getting another foldable phone unless: 1. It is dust resistant along with being water resistant. 2. The cameras are better than the S24 Ultra. 3. The S-Pen being built in. 4. Better cases are being without having to use adhesive tape and made to protect the phone and hinge.
Of course its a downgrade....the cameras arent equal...and the battery lasts longer. And you can use magsafe caes to stick on a portable power bank on it if it gets to like 5%.
I got the s24 Ultra and Fold 4..watching now...the Fold 6 has to be excellent for me to trade in...the s24 Ultra is definitely superior than the Fold 4 and Fold 6 but i do love the multitasking of the Fold 4.
I like that I can use the rear cameras on the Fold to take selfies, so you get to use the best cameras for that instead of the lower resolution front camera. I think that's a plus for the Fold camera system.
the s24U is unbreakable, I will never venture myself in a Fold. They look great for web browsing and reading ebooks... but the S24U is heavy duty........ which is extremelly important for me
When speaking about phone cameras people seem to forget talk about megapixels doesn't count for shit if the sensor can't back them up properly Sensor size > megapixels Your average consumer probably identifies megapixels as a measure or direct indication of camera performance for better or worse, which is false Just throwing that out there
I'm still rocking the note 20 ultra. I'd love to go to a fold or a flip but taking a hit on camera capability for a 4 year newer phone seems crazy to me.
Only reason I'm upgrading to the Fold 6 from the S24U is making the most of the current value via trade-in, the s24U might fall in resell in a few more months. Hope I'm making the right decision
@satellite3253 the s24u needs to be charged by around lunchtime. Not sure why. Saw a lot of users with the same issue. Only thing I miss from the Iphone 14pro max was the battery. Context: 2023 i switched from the ip14 to s24u.
I have a feeling, that the Fold 7,8, or 9 Ultra is coming soon! It will have an outer display, that is the same size as the S-24U. But it will unfold with an additional big display!!💡
My choice is the Fold. I can look at analysts' opinions of an investment while listening to a TH-cam video that discusses the same investment. Multitasking is the overwhelming reason why I will buy the Fold.
As much as I love the Fold I think I'm going from the Fold 3 to the S24 Ultra. The upgrades to the Fold in three iterations are very subtle and too minimal in my opinion. The camera has become the deal breaker for me. While the close pictures on Fold 3 are good enough anything zoomed in is awful. I know they made upgrades from the 3 to 5, but it's still just satisfactory instead of ultra. For the asking price of these phones the cameras need to be much better. I have a Tab 9 so when I want to get the big screen feel I'll use that. I'll go with the ultra and upgrade back to the Fold when they get "ultra" cameras.
I currently have Samsung S20 FE and Samsung S8 Tab and I looking to upgrade my phone now. I was initially expecting a larger front screen for Fold 6 and was planning to buy that. But today when I saw the screen in person it didn't appeal to me much. So now I want to choose between S24 Ultra and Fold 6. Or should I just wait till Jan 2025 for S25 Series? what do you suggest? People from the comment section are most welcome to share their opinions.
@sakitech first off would like to thanks you for your amazing and informative video. I wanna get the Z Fold 6, just not sure if it feel like all the screen issues the past Gen's had have been fixed. How would you say it feeled while you were using it, more sturdy? Does it feel cheap? At this price tag I want to make sure I make the right decision. Hoping on getting a honest response from you. Cheers
Samsung should have listened to it's users and made the zFold 6 wider. When opened, it should have a square screen, so you wouldn't have to rotate it to get landscape mode. This would also have provided a wide front screen. The front screen should be pen enabled, so you wouldn't have to open the phone to take notes. I see no compelling reason to upgrade from the zFold 4.
While the unfolded screen size of the Fold 6 is impressive, it would be an exaggeration to call it a "mid-size" tablet size. A standalone tablet that is 7.6 inches is a small tablet. Nobody would be calling it mid-size.
I love my S24U except for one handed use. In that aspect, its a disaster. Its so top heavy it tumbles easily and I cant hardly reach anything onehanded without shuffling around. This honestly made me start to regret getting this phone. I want the narrower and smaller outter screen of the Fold 6 while having the inner screen for when I can use 2 hands. Going to trade in for it as soon as I can.
Still won't purchase another fold phone until they fix the following: -The screen protection on the tablet. -The ability to come with an S Pen. -The durability of the form factor against drops and bends.
I agree and it's the fact that these pick up dust so quick in the inside screen. Having to constantly clean them with a fear if the dust goes into the hinge you are shafted! Moved to S24 Ultra, so much better now it's a flat screen!
My fold 4 has a broken internal screen. 1600 dollar phone and I got a black line right where the crease is. Buy a Samsung Fold at your own risk or buy the warranty plan, these phones are not durable
@@worstusername22 I'm rough on phones too. I work a handyman business which things drop all the time. To me it's just a matter of time before something breaks.
I have The Fold4 and had the Fold2. Both experienced the same hinge flaw: They do not unfold at 100%. Huge flaw by Samsung, my Fold 4 is 1 year old. Fold phones are magnificent but they are vulnerable
I'm on my third fold 5, the inner screen is just too vulnerable. Dead pixels on all three, including my current one. Definitely going back to a standard phone.

I had the Z-Fold 4 and after having the hinge break twice, I went with the S24 Ultra. I miss the large display, but I am traumatized by my previous experience.
I've still got the Fold 4 but the brushes in the hinge are breaking down and it's now not able to open fully. I'm considering going S24U soon, myself.
Same. Fold 3 cracked (blown pixels) twice. I just got the s24 ultra. Tired, sad and also traumatized.
This is what stops me from getting the Fold every time!
Fold is a big flop. I have z flip 5 and in less than 1 year I experienced 2 screen liquid leaks.
Samsung needs to launch an ultra version of the Fold.
This! You would think at $1800 or $1900 that any of them would be an "ultra" lol.
i still prefer slim
@Alpz07 yes ..like two ultras together as a fold❤
Why not the first Tri-fold ever next?

Going for S24 Ultra
Love your videos! Thank you. I stick to my S24U but I am disappointed it takes Samsung so long to update the camera. I still have problems in certain situations, and by the time they fix it, the S25U is out - at least it feels that way.
I'm sticking with s24 ultra I went for Fold 5 last year and was disappointed. I got me s9 tab ultra anyways and that's best tablet out there no need to have 2 in 1.
great video. I'm sold on the fold 6. The S24 looks nice, but I like the tablet features.
@rampantknight When I brought flip 4 for repairs people who worked there told me that Is important not to peel protection.
I've been using Z Fold 2 since launch day
And now its time to go for Fold 6
Have you ever had issues with the internal screw?

If what you use the phone for tends toward what the fold offers, makes perfect sense 👌
I had the S21 ultra. I miss the camera everyday but not the size! Many pockets dont fit. It also gets obvious when sitting down and have the Ultra huge diagonal size in the way. Today I am on a fold4 but have to upgrade. Its either Fold6 or S24 ultra for me
Have you received your new Fold? If so are you happy with it?
My Note20 Ultra finally kicked the bucket a month ago. Glue melted from being so hot in the Florida weather and then water got in it. Doesn't even turn on anymore which sucks bc I really liked that phone. Finally pulled the trigger on the Fold 6 and also got the wife the Flip 6. We both had phones from 2020 so these new ones will be a huge upgrade!
Be thankful you weren't out west; more than just the glue would've melted.😅 You're making a great jump up in units, so you'll be having a blast learning all the goodies and customization.
I'm happy for you & your wife, the coolest new toys 🫡She'll be happy, F5 my bff lol
I have a Note 10plus and will be upgrading to the S24 Ultra. Although I love the foldable the price.....reviews about inner screens breaking easily.....the dust/ water resistance and camera not being Ultra level is the deal breaker for me
I'm still on Note 8 and Motorola G Power 2021. Recently sold my Original Surface Duo
The water resistance is ultra level. However, the dust resistance is not. @andreferguson3376

In today's video....! Love it
I just traded in my Fold 4 for the 24 Ultra.
How good is the reception for either one?
I'm skipping the fold 6 . Not enough upgrade. Still haven't bump up The charge speed . Camera not great .I'm going from the fold 5 to 24 ultra
Great review Saki! Thank you!
S24 ultra have corning gorilla glass armour not victus 2 and its using antiglare technology also
I'm beginning my search for a new phone as the battery on my S22 Ultra is starting to lose it's charge and wanted to say that this video was very helpful to me. Thank you!
Best side by side comparison video. Currently thinking of trading in my S23 Ultra and this video has me really thinking about my descision.
Thank you. This was the video I was waiting for, to see them side by side. Both are good phones in their own right. Great video.
Just buy the S24 ultra and a tablet 😛
No one is doing that, table and laptop have weak ram, I don't know if you notice but these are phones. 🤦♂️
Saki, you have a typo at 5:37. Fold '4' advantage should be a '6' right?
7:07 you can clearly see that the fold 6 has a better battery than the s24u.
On the S24U it says "a full charge will last about 1 day"
while on the fold 6 it says"a full charge will last about 4d 4h"
also the s24u has 14h 26m left at a soc of 58% and the fold 6 has 1d 23h left at a soc of 47%
so how does the s24u have an advantage here if on the fold 6 its obv better.
Year after year Sak come through with great info to inform the consumer (good or bad). Thank you Sak!
How did you know this was the video I was waiting for :)
IP68 and IP48 the difference is only in dust resistance not water. There is misunderstanding in this concept in the video. 4:33
Perfect❤ Thank you for this video.
If they release an ultra Fold i would buy it even with the higher price tags 👍🏻
Thanks 😊
Comprehensive analysis. One feels like buying both. Insightful video.
That's it. You just put it exactly how I was thinking.
I also agree.. those features should be there at the price premium for a fold version
And same water resistance
Hello from Germany. Your Videos are great and easy to understand. I like your difference-Videos
Saki I'm a fan but upgrade your production.
1. The sound. Too much echo
2. Film higher than 1080p
Blessings
In like the AI transcription-summary, camera for fun, would you jump even with that crease?
Saki, if you have never had the Fold would you get the Samsung Insurance?
Love your head to heads Sakitech!
I love my s24 ultra. I would have upgraded if the outside screen and the camera module are the same as the ultra.
I'll never go for the book design man. just not a fan of it. got a 24 ultra at launch and that habit will continue until i pass away lol.
I want to say that you for years, yes years, have consistently put out high quality intelligent shows. Just like this one.
I love the idea of having a foldable phone because I really liked my Z Fold3. In my opinion, I think the Z fold 6 is a downgrade from my S24 Ultra. The price is not keeping me away, because I’m a huge Samsung fan. I won’t be getting another foldable phone unless:
1. It is dust resistant along with being water resistant.
2. The cameras are better than the S24 Ultra.
3. The S-Pen being built in.
4. Better cases are being without having to use adhesive tape and made to protect the phone and hinge.

They look great for web browsing and reading ebooks... but the S24U is heavy duty........ which is extremelly important for me
When speaking about phone cameras people seem to forget talk about megapixels doesn't count for shit if the sensor can't back them up properly
Sensor size > megapixels
Your average consumer probably identifies megapixels as a measure or direct indication of camera performance for better or worse, which is false
Just throwing that out there
I'm still rocking the note 20 ultra. I'd love to go to a fold or a flip but taking a hit on camera capability for a 4 year newer phone seems crazy to me.
Your channel always give good to understand reviews. Keep on going.
Only reason I'm upgrading to the Fold 6 from the S24U is making the most of the current value via trade-in, the s24U might fall in resell in a few more months. Hope I'm making the right decision

The fact that they didnt upgrade the camera on the fold 6 that much is what made me decide to stay with the ultra 24
Could you say more about the grease on z fold 6, and the quality photo compare with iphone? Thanks
I love my S24 ultra best phone I've ever bought. Maybe I'll wait for the Fold 7 or 8
I have a feeling, that the Fold 7,8, or 9 Ultra is coming soon!
I have a flip5 and miss the cameras in the S line...debating on staying with the flip line vs s ultra? Thoughts? I'd miss the small form factor??
Cheers
Sir mistake, S24 ultra is having
Gorilla glass armour on front& back not gorilla glass 2.
Perfected Smart Phone coupled with the Samsung S9 Ultra Tablet 👌🏾
I love my S24U except for one handed use. In that aspect, its a disaster. Its so top heavy it tumbles easily and I cant hardly reach anything onehanded without shuffling around. This honestly made me start to regret getting this phone. I want the narrower and smaller outter screen of the Fold 6 while having the inner screen for when I can use 2 hands. Going to trade in for it as soon as I can.
Just traded the Fold 4 for the S24 Ultra. The fold screen was showing signs of fatigue. I need the extra durability of the S24U
Im loving my s24 ultra violet 💜 😊😊
Lower IP rating first number is for dust. They have the same water resistance but Fold understandably has less dust resistance.
Still won't purchase another fold phone until they fix the following:
-The screen protection on the tablet.
-The ability to come with an S Pen.
-The durability of the form factor against drops and bends.
Fold 17 😅
@@Hiphopdancemasters if that is what it takes...

I'm on my third fold 5, the inner screen is just too vulnerable. Dead pixels on all three, including my current one. Definitely going back to a standard phone.
