Well first I’d like to say thank you for watching the videos man I appreciate it. I’m happy you get that feeling after watching them, besides having something chill to watch I want people to go out have fun and do what they love doing
His photos look grey and muddy theres literally 0 color grading going on. They almost look untouched. Dude has no idea how to bring out or dramatize his shadows. Everything looks flat as hell. This is a prime example of someone with more money and time than actual knowledege and technical skill. His awkward compositioning, over use of the same angles that everyyyy street photographer uses, and lack of creativity made this video an absolute bore. Just because you can afford a 4k setup doesnt mean you should buy it. Ive seen work shot on century old equipment that captivates me more than this shit. I get it tho, gotta hop on the trends as they come.
I just got an 85mm lens after shooting 35mm and 50mm for like 10 years lol I know it is going to feel limiting but seeing this photowalk has me excited to mix it up and finally have significant change in perspective to my photos. Thanks for sharing this!
@@christifor5277 I loved it! great change in perspective. for landscapes you can really start to get compositions that are a bit more immersive thanks to the whole frame feeling more balanced in scale. Portraits is an obvious use case as well, but even to an extent macro photography because you don't need to get as close for more intimate details. I love the thing, will definitely continue to bring it with me all the time
Dear Mr.Tripp. Wonderful images, as always. Very atmospheric in the dark streets. Also very inspiring. One thing that amuses me is the little “sniffs” in the background. LOL!! Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Not sure how I wasn't subscribed to you channel anymore. I've noticed a few channels I know I was subscribed to where TH-cam says I'm not. Either way, good to see you again. I'm back subscribed.
Been watching some of your vids and it’s always cool to see and hear the thought process of others. Question for you, on your back button. What do you have it set on? It never seems that you lose focus when shooting
Ive been wanting to do this with my go pro but my footage looks pretty bad, I was wondering what settings you use and exposure you use on your go pro. Love the content btw!
I’m not sure which GoPro you have but I got a hero 10. These are the settings I always use. 4K 60 , SuperView, boost (for hypersmooth), bit rate is set to high, shutter white balance are both Auto, iso is minimum 100 and max 800. Sharpness is low and color is on flat. Hope that helps
Love these types of videos. This is what TH-cam was made for, not some fast paced brainrot. Quick question, what size of pro mist filter did you use on this lense? 82mm?
thank you for the kind words 🙏🏻. yeah all my filters are 82mm thread size, i just use a step up ring to fit them in my lenses. The sigma 85mm lens has a 77mm thread
Sick vid bro. I just got an 85mm f2,0 for my Canon R8. I haven't collected much experience with polar filters yet. Would you recommend getting one for it?
Hey - great video mann. I’m looking to start and add street photography to my portfolio. What mist filter did you use? Some really nice night shots and diffused lights. Thanks
Hey hello, I'm a total newbie in photography. When you speak about an 85mm lens, if I have an APS-C camera I have to use a 50mm Because of the multiplication, or are you talking about an 85mm for cameras with APS-C sensor?
so with an aps-c camera you have to take account for the crop factor with is 1.5x. so the 85mm equivalent would be 55mm-56mm. sigma make great and more affordable lens for that
Love this bro. Some dope ass images. I want to know wtf happened to that car also! Question, are you using a lapel mic for your audio or is your Gopro just picking up your voice thru the onboard microphone?
It’s mostly for the povs so people can see the camera but when I’m out shooting for non video content I’ll use the viewfinder more often. Also the a7iii viewfinder resolution isn’t the best to be honest
Every time you post a video I always get inspired to go out and do some street photography. Every damn time.
Well first I’d like to say thank you for watching the videos man I appreciate it. I’m happy you get that feeling after watching them, besides having something chill to watch I want people to go out have fun and do what they love doing
Loved that, Chinatown has so many photo opps & the mist filter just completes the vibe 👌
Always look forward to watching these, and your photos and color grading on them is just phenomenal! So pleasing to see.
Thank ya for tuning in and for the kind words 🙏🏻

how was the 85mm?

The lady at 26:46 looks cool as hell. The jacket, the vest and the hair! She looks sick
how could u pass the car without taking a photo
Thanks for walking by Chinatown Fair! I spent so much of my childhood there, and it was good to see it’s still there.
Your dedication is admirable.
Welcome back! Here's to 5k 👊

I also find the 85mm lens very interesting 👌
Great Video as always! Really inspiring
Wow, good photos!
Love the videos man

thank you for inspiring me!
As usual, a good trip. Did you lighten and of the dark shots? Enjoy the trips.
Yeah I always edit afterwards to bring back some lost light
Beautiful shots mate 🤪
Hey sir! Do you edit those pictures or is it because of the filter? I really like the way your picture look and it inspires me to
What was your white balance setting and also how much promist did you use? 1/4 or 1/2?
i typically use 1/4 and that what i had for this video. I have my white balance on auto for the most part
i just change all of that white balance post in lightroom
Hi your videos are great. Can I know your focus area you’re using in SONY
Espectacular. Que programa usas para la edición de fotografías?
Hey Man. Great video! You a little sick? Seems like you are lacking energy- Stay strong and stay healthy Man!
I was fighting a little something but all good now. Appreciate ya checking in 🙏🏻
Been watching some of your vids and it’s always cool to see and hear the thought process of others. Question for you, on your back button. What do you have it set on? It never seems that you lose focus when shooting
I use the back joystick to point my focus points. Sometimes it’s a little bit slow but I found it to be the best way to nail focus
Amazing shots. What brand of mist filter do you use? I use a Tiffin 1/8 black mist and I get a light flare, maybe it's just the 70-200mm i use?
I have a polar pro 1/4 filter. I’ve never had a flare issue on any lens. I’ve used it on my 24-70, 85, and 70-200
Ive been wanting to do this with my go pro but my footage looks pretty bad, I was wondering what settings you use and exposure you use on your go pro. Love the content btw!

@@PhotoTripps23TYSM, I have the Hero9 Black. I was wondering if you keep these setting for night time as well or do you adjust them?
Are you using just the standard GoPro microphone here? it sounds fantastic! Great photos as well!
yeah i just use the built in mic, its always worked really well for me

any of the polar pro mist filters are good that’s what i’ve always used
@@PhotoTripps23 thank you for your reply. Really appreciate it. In this video, what strength did you use? 1/4 or a 1/8th?

1/4 or 1/8 mist filter?
1/4
Yo starting off the video there’s a car all tagged up and crashed on the curve. is that a norm for New York?
not really in that part of the city. i’ve seen it in other spots but honestly it’s not common
what autofocus mode are you using good sir
Flexible spot
i ain't been down that way in a while ... No viewfinder? a lot of Sony shooters don't use it i've noticed.
It’s mostly for the povs so people can see the camera but when I’m out shooting for non video content I’ll use the viewfinder more often. Also the a7iii viewfinder resolution isn’t the best to be honest
Hey man.. thanks for the reply. maybe i'll see you in the street this summer!!@@PhotoTripps23
which one you prefer? using viewfinder or lcd display?
depends honestly. for the sake of youtube i think the lcd is useful but in daylight i have to use my viewfinder.
Hi, why you always use f1.4 in this video? Is there any consideration? Thanks before
when shooting at night having a lower aperture is crucial to maintain higher shutter speeds
Can’t believe you skipped the two cars in the beginning. Lol
Btw, wasn’t trying to be rude or anything. Love these photo walks!
I know the crashed car was in a tough spot for the 85mm and I can’t really stand in the street over there
@@PhotoTripps23 good point. I was thinking that too. I’m thinking about doing a 85 mm challenge as well. The pictures look so sharp with a nice 85.
@@NerdAffiliated i know man no worries. When I watch back the video while editing I’ll see stuff and I’m like shit how did I even miss that
Also appreciate the support and kind words 🙏🏻
Were these photos raw? or did these have light editing on them? I absolutely love these photos and i think I am going to purchase a A7III next year!
Please don't leave it so long between vids ;)
Working on another video as we speak
how i can take photos like your's with my iPhone 12? (non Pro)
Is I illegal to take pictures of people
🤓👆
Only if you get caught
No, not in America it’s not. There is no expectation of privacy when you’re in public along with 1st amendment issues.
I know in Quebec it can be an issue because someone won a case about a magazine photo
Jamel. Monkey.

Ah the classic shallow depth of field trap. I promise your camera wont explode if you shoot beyond f2
yeah for sure if you want to shoot at 1/25 of a second and an iso of 2500
