- Kenya’s Masai Mara is one of the best places in Africa to see the continent’s largest cat. Lions have lost 90% of their historical range with less than 25,000 in the wild. We set out to understand what is putting lions in danger-even in protected areas.

@@YeshItsCourtney Hahaha when you were a kid lol. I'm so old lol I used to watch every morning before work. I think I've seen every one of those old episodes at LEAST 4-5 times !! Johnathan just looks so great with his hair all long. And so wonderful he's doing this with his wife( who is gorgeous ) this go round !!
Everyone, me too!!! I was so Excited to see Jonathan Scott again!! Yes, it was a throwback to the "Big Cat Diary," days. I really Enjoyed seeing "Big Cat Tales." Jonathan, looks Great with his long hair, and his Wife, Angie, is Beautiful, with her very long hair! But, I do miss Simon, and Saba! All three of them, were Fantastic on the "Big Cat Diary," Shows!!! I am looking forward to more "Big Cat Tales" Episodes!!!😉😎🤗☺
Lions have a been an inspiration for characters of Aslan of the chronicles of Narnia, Simba Nala Sarabi Mufasa & Scar From The Lion King & Of Course Tiifu Zuri Kiara & Kion From The Lion Guard.
Lions I think get the most attention from people. I just like how they color is that paige brown color. Especially on the males their manes grow out and has like some dark brown and light brown in their manes. 🦁

Wow!! I love this show so much. Watching the big Daddy's playing and loving on their babies is absolutely priceless!! Most of the time the big daddy's don't have the tolerance and patience for affection from their babies. Every once in a while I see it but it's definitely not often. And then to sit in there sharing the shade with the Pride, again priceless. Thank you so much for bringing these amazing video's to us.
Renee Mills, this is so true, that most Male Lions do not show much affection towards the Cubs! But, Ashkari, the Male Lion showing affection to the Cubs, was absolutely spectacular!😉
@@tracydavis8982 Plus they are the only Daddys that are still in their Cubs lives. The cheetahs and leopards are all single moms, which makes then even MORE amazing.
@@karensketchley9686, yes, Lions are the Only Social Big Cats. The other Big Cats, Tigers, Jaguars, Leopards, Mountain Lions, Cheetahs, and Snow Leopards, all lead Solitary Lives, and the Females remain Single Mothers. But, Male Cheetahs, especially Brothers, remain together for Life, which is referred to as a "Coalition."
Can you plant trees and scrubs out there to bring back protection for the creature?

Julie Hertz, yes, it was great to see Bella's Granddaughter, Bahati! She reminds me of Bella, with that really Stocky build! Yes, the Baby Cheetah that was crippled, really broke my heart! It was really painful to watch!!!😣
Too bad Half Tail has been gone for years , but Johnathan did mention seeing Solo.

@@tracydavis8982 I think maybe the cheetah Cubs are the cutest, but then I see lion and leopard Cubs and I just can't pick a favorite !!! That poor little wounded cheetah cub reminded me of Toto. Johnathan lost track of Toto and his mom in the last season of BCD I believe. And those leopard Cubs with those incredible eyes !!! Gorgeous !!!
@@karensketchley9686, yes, it is hard to pick a favorite, because all of the Cubs from the Lions, Leopards, and Cheetahs, are so Pretty! Yes, that wounded baby Cheetah, did remind me of baby Cheetah Toto! Unfortunately, in the 2006 Episode of Big Cat Diary, it was revealed that TOTO was found dead. Remember, in the 2007 Episode of Big Cat Diary, Honey, the Cheetah, who was TOTO'S Mom, showed up with (4) Cubs. She had (3) Males, and (1) Daughter. During this Episode, Honey's Daughter was killed by Lions. Remember, Jonathan showed her Body. It was very painful to see that. Remember, in this Episode, Honey, the Cheetah, chased away a Female Lion, who was threatening her Cubs. It was Awesome to see that! In 2007, that was the last airing of the " Big Cat Diary" Series. It was Cancelled in 2009, after some of the Lions, from the "Marsh Pride" were Poisoned to Death by an African Tribe, and Honey, the Cheetah, was "accidentally" Killed by a Veterinarian, after the shot that he administered went Awry!
Tracy Davis i cried when Jonathan said Bellas daughter Olive,Bahatis Momma got killed by a Hyena.I Wonder what happened to Bellas son Chewy.And how i miss Shadow Half Tails daughter.

If these animals went extinct there would be a dramatic increase in herbivores and decrease in number of scavengers that often eat what is left after a lions hunt
