Actually both my foot pegs bend upwards, at some point I’m going to try bend them straight or get a replacement. Might have been a purposeful choice for riding off road, I’ve seen some like that in pictures… now that I know I don’t like it, but for 10 years I just assumed that’s the way it was made.
I owned a Honda 70 Cub in the 1970s. It was a great commuter bike provided you don't need to go on the Interstate. I think 47 mph was the best I ever saw, downhill. But it got the job done until I could afford a 1975 Honda CB 550 Four. I should have never sold that bike.
How did you ever find one of these old ones here in the US? I've been looking for a couple years. Great bike! I have a '22 Super Cub (also an 1800cc Goldwing and six others in between) and my tiny Super Cub is still one of the most fun to ride. Funny how the 125cc gets me 130 mpg - significantly better than the 50cc. More videos please!
I got it on craigslist 12 years ago…. All I knew was that I wanted a Cub or Passport… and this just happened to be a reasonable driving distance away… but i didn’t know much about how each model was different other than engine size and thought it was odd that it didn’t come with turn signals. But I’m glad that didn’t dissuade me from buying it!
you should get the c70 from 1972, theyre super cool but kinda rare in the us

your problem is that the footpeg is bent. try straightening it and giving it another go.

@@DotDotMatrix slip a section of cheater bar pipe over it and bend it back down. easy fix. ive done it a few times

I have a 72 c70 and have to toe to toe shift too!
the key fob for keyless ignition is such a turn off .keep it simple is still the best.
