As a person who does not know much about Excel I found the examples of the 20 essential EXCEL functions very easy to understand please make more tutorials like this as it helps people with what they can do in Excel.

There is the area concerning Maps that has me intrigued because I believe that it can be a very useful tool in my astrometeorological studies. I'd like to learn how to set this up properly and then load it up with info. I finished a course in Microsoft Access last year and am now 75% through Excel. Both of these programs are very important to me for my astrometeorological studies. Thank you in advance.

You have a great presentation, I have watched MANY Excel videos to learn what I can about Excel over the years and have found your videos easy to follow. They have a logical and clear progression, your descriptions and explanation of functions are clear and easy to understand.

I'm making templates to automate files and I just picked up some functions in this video that are super useful. I had a question about how to start a new line within a cell and formula using CONCATENATE but I found the answer in another video - using char(10) between strings. Thanks for the videos!

Your tutorials are fantastic. I was able to download the first excel work sheet, but i am unable to see/find the balance of the sheets beyond the sum function sheet. Thank you.
@@SeleTraining Thank you for your quick response. That's what I was assuming. I could see that in your worksheets. However, there were no separate sheets at the bottom of what i downloaded. I must be doing something wrong I guess.
The parameters are SUMIF(range,criteria,sum_range). Not sure what you are trying to accomplish but the criteria must be a value to compare for the range. For example ">10" is a criteria that would sum all values in the range that are greater than 10. You appear to be comparing an entire range for the criteria. @@anmeetkaur1109 It's possible you have a keyboard or software that is forcing the F4 key to work differently. You can try Fn-F4 to confirm but it is a built in key in Excel so you don't have to turn it on.

I think it may be possible to download the spreadsheet and then setup your computer narrator in accessibility options. That may read aloud the formulas in the Excel file. The spreadsheet follows the video and all of the functions I describe are in the spreadsheet so if can read the formula in the cell it should give you some info. I'm not sure how that works so I don't know if it will accomplish your needs or not. The download file is at seletraining.com but I can send you the direct link in an email if that helps.

I wanted to add something quite useful. You are, for example, writing a list of sales and want to SUM the entire column of it. You select the range of cells and then, SUM. but later yoy realize that the result is wrong. Well, here is a little tip, if you putted in one cel " $10 (in 1 dolar bills)" you just maked it a "text cel" and now the SUM function won't count as something he needs to SUM, and the result, then, will be wrong

Each function is a separate sheet that you should be able to click on at the bottom of the spreadsheet.

Yes the sim functions skips cells that are not numbers so you have to be careful with entries.
