i would very humbly like to make a request , probably the most under rated Canadian band there is but in 1984 during US fest with the likes of Ozzy , Van Halen , Motley crew , Scorpions and such these 3 Canadian dudes take the stage dressed in white and steal the show with a very positive message for all .. Triumph - Fight The Good Fight - US Festival from May 29, 1983 .
A little background info on this video. If you feel like they're lipsyncing or that the audio doesn't line up with the video sometimes you'd be right. They had recorded this one live but somehow the audio portion became damaged so they dubbed the original studio track to it. Still a real pleasure to watch though!
No, the intent was never to release the performance audio, which is not damaged (you can find it on YT). The intent was to really lean in and actually play so it looks real(because it is), then match it to the studio track. Remember, this was the promotional video for the Barracuda single release, pre-MTV.
Back in the day, all 'promotional' videos that musicians made (pre-MTV), were video of the band in a setting made to look like it was a live performance. The audio from their studio recording would be used. As well, given that they band members look like they are mashed close together in what was obviously a small space, I don't know how a cameraman/cameramen would have been able to get the footage they did both from Heart just playing the song once in a concert, and without falling off of the stage.

No, the audio track was damaged, thus the overdub. Things back then weren’t digitized, still analog tape.
