Wow Chevy must buy your designs and actually produce them on the cars. This is amazing. You should do the remodeling of the back of the car too. 💯
I've been saying this. This dude needs to be in the industry making a difference.
Chevy needs to improve on their quality most importantly
th-cam.com/video/jodqUR6ABuQ/w-d-xo.html
This wouldnt sell nowadays, so chevy wouldnt bother, people want pickup trucks and crossovers nowadays, but gm still caters to those people who cant get with the times and still makes sedans for them, albeit not very good ones, i think the malibu is the only one that remains and it resembles nothing it used to, and only has 4 cylinder and v6 as options
@@gtafan12ifyyou sound crazy
The reflection with the different wheels is killing me! 😅
Yeah I noticed that at the end lol
I like it-looks like an ad Chevy would make, showing the heritage of the car.
@@Polychromophilia he's done this before and used that as his reasoning lol
@@freddybell8328 why would u erase that lol, pain in the ass and not a whole much more
Same
Amazing redesign. I’d buy this Impala if Chevy implemented this as a 2022 model.
I know this is random, but I think something that could be a fun Project would be the second generation Chevrolet Astro Van. As it's something that hasn't been around for a long time, and I think a modernization could look wicked cool.
(or maybe make a muscle van-)
Oh no 😁 the Astro Van takes me back 😂 I would like to see that too 😊
I currently own a 2014 GMC Southern Comfort Elite Hi-Top Conversion Van my gramps love it he still has his 1985 GMC Explorer Van with 140k miles in upscale condition yup the tv & vcr still works lol
The only thing I can really say is that I wish you’d sharpened up the grill and modernized the wheel-wells/fenders but other than that, this turned out better than I expected.
Funny how a car can represent both the police force and pimps at the same time :)
And serial killers
Police force-caprice
Pimps-caprice
Gangs-caprice
Lowriders-caprice
Taxi-caprice
Sport-impala
Only talking about this generation tho
🤣🤣🤣
Don't Forget LowRider & Taxi, also ...
Big facts🤣🤣
love how ur redesign still has the reflection on the floor
Hell yeah. I'm still trying to get my hands on an OG 96 SS. Love that style.
Owning a 99 SS is on my bucket list !
I love the fact that the old impala wheels are still showing in the shadow on the ground it really shows pass to present
I think this is the best one I've ever seen. As much as I hate new cars designs, this one is amazing. I hope chevy will buy your design and make the Impala roam the streets in style again
This is literally the coolest redesign you've ever made, this is the type of car I want in my drive way.
I love the style of this model of the Impala. It is still my dream car to this day.💯
I love how the gas cap is in the license plate
We really need an Impala again. As in, an Impala SS.
They dropped a Chevy SS and no one bought it. It’s dead.
@@Ned_Slanders Unfortunately, that's the truth.
Great design. But I most confess - I still love the original design. So much character 👍🏻
Hard to beat!
Amazing Modernization of this 90s icon. Great job 👍🏼. 96 Chevy SS was my first car ever. I will buy 96 once more in the future as a collector. 😍
This is what the SS should've looked like!
That's my favorite looking sedan of the 90's period I would definitely drive it.
i love these older cars that you wouldn't think could be this cool by seeing them on the road being reimagined
Amazing what a few changes in the right spots can do. This redesign looks like a car I'd buy.
i am a sucker for cool sedans! i love this!
I bought a '95 Impala SS, Dark Cherry metallic, in Aug 95. Drove it for 23 years. Best car I ever owned.
Bro that whip is dope😍🔥 great content as allways. Love from Germany
Thank you for putting this together, it looks great!
This has become one of my favorite channel on TH-cam. Keep doing your thing sir🙌🏾
This is beautiful! Really nice work
I really would like to see a redesign of "If Geo Was Still a Part of GM" since this video is a Chevy one, and you said it was "Geo"metrical
Owned one, it was a cool looking car and it drove nicely. Definitely felt stronger than the claimed 240hp and would beat 5.0s all day long. Good memories
Fun rendering, cool facelift! I owned a '96 Dark Cherry Metallic Impala SS and did subtle but impactful perf mods and just loved it. The trunk had room for subs and golf clubs! 100mph on the highway felt like nothing. I miss it.
I want one of the OGs and I want your version of it too. Such a badass classic Chevy.
The chevy SS that was once sold in america should have been called the Impala SS
As a proud owner of a 96 impala I like the design especially the headlights
Beautiful car. One thing a lot of SS owners want on this car was the fog light and it takes the look of this car up to a whole other level, beautiful car
Great looking one. Would like to see you redesign the back as well.
Same here, I was waiting for him to show the back and how it would look as a modern day Impala SS
You kept the spirit of the original as the spirit is in the reflection. :-) Love the update!!
Thank you for doing this video. I am actually in the process of redesigning my 96 and this video will be a great reference to the fabricators that are designing it for me.
9:05 - 9:32 You just perfectly described the Chevy SS. They killed it in 2017
Now THAT is cool! Love what you did here. Also, killer headlights and wheel choices! Do a 2000-2005 buick lesabre please. I wish I could show you my lesabre..
If only someone could sell the headlights, and the front bumper. I have had three, and still have two left. I think about this all the time. I guess the net read my mind, and suggested this video. Love your rendition.
You fixed exactly what made this car look like a river boat ferry with it's oversized bubble like greenhouse and just bad looking headlights and overall sagging at both ends look this car had. Great Job!!🔥🔥
I owned a green 96 Impala SS back in the day. Ended up trading it for a Suburban after the family grew. It's probably a good thing though, because my wife got pulled over multiple times. It was a cop magnet. it was great while it lasted!
Next time, please turn the most current generation of the Chevy Impala into an SS!!!
If I had the money I would definitely love to have this created!
Hell to the yeah I would! Been in love with Impalas my whole life, growing up in Cali and going to the lowrider car shows!
I would totally buy that rendition, great job 👍😎
I used to love this car and envied people who owned. I remember renting one on a trip to Detroit and loving it 😄
Love it
really nice job
I would definitely identify this a modern car. Great job man. This is one of your best one yet.
Glad you like it thanks
@@Thesketchmonkey can you make a RAPTOR or ST version of the Ford Maverick?🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
pleace do the Ford Pinto next ,
and i like your videos you really have some skills
:D
Looks absolutely AMAZING!!!
I love this car
Like that one a lot. Fun fact: one almost unnoticeable difference between the Impala and the Caprice is the shape of the rear quarter windows. On the Impala they angle back towards the beltline, European inspired. The Caprice simply slopes down following the roofline.
All 95-96 caprices got the Impala rear quarter window. 91-94 got the triangle.
Less of a re design and more of a modded design, which is cool. I would enjoy you making a real re-design video where you just sketch things out like a concept drawing. Like a what if they made this car today?
That's an amazing redesign
Looks good. Sometimes the simple look is the best one.
Yess sketch monkey I love this design 👍👍
300SL (gullwing) with the same treatment would be nice. Sounds challenging, but I’m sure you can do it!
This dude amazes me every time
Dope... I own a 96 and I would love that design for a new ss
To me this car is perfect as it is seeing that perfection getting changed was horrible 😂😂
Same
I love all this design science and experiments
Brings me insights
Personally what I'd do is work with the 2017 design and adapt it to the 90s style with the new gen lt1 and make it RWD. the 90s style is unbeatable, I own a 94 SS myself 😁
From the moment I saw an Impala I knew it was the car for me... Took some time, some ups and downs but I got my 96 SS 8 years ago. I messed up and sold her but ended up buying her back and she's not going anywhere ever. It's mean to be mine.
I like how the reflection of the car is still unedited. Makes it look cool
Impala SS could easily compete with a charger if they wanted to do it
Yes, but it can't be a FWD abortion like the 2006ish ones lol
I’ve been waiting for this...
It was always a nice big handsome family saloon/sedan for it`s day and is worthy of been beefed up and planted in 2022 style!
I love the 96 impala ss I have 2 of them i like your design yes I would buy it One of mine is customized
Hi the sketch monkey I'm a fan and I subscribed :).. I was wondering could u do a vid on making the 2000 impala into modern design ..??
Grattis till 300.000 följare 🇸🇪👍🏻
Those wheels look amazing!
This gives me hope you are working on the next gen Wrangler design. Thanks!!
i would scream over to the dealer to put in an order for one in a heart beat if they redid a V8 sedan Impala LIKE THIS ONE.
I think a bottom grill and LED fog lamps would have helped modernize the look of the impala. Copy the grill mesh from the original grill and replicate it on the bottom would be nice.
The only thing you have to do is forget the early 2000s whatever that was. I would like to see a modern 60s version too.
Yes! A 1965 Impala SS in Tahitian Turquoise! Two-door sedans were (and still are) the 'hot rod' way to go! Even though the '65 and '66 were very similar-looking (and beautiful!); those protruding taillights on the '65 still stir my soul! 1967 and 1968 Impalas are quite handsome, also.
Side note: the rims on the '96 SS are killer, and would be a great way to tie the '65 SS to the '96 SS, or so I think.
the design was soo simplistic even my toddler self could easily draw
No doubt I'd buy that. I love the classic 1996, but that's is awesome!
I would love to see a new design of the 2005-2011 Lincoln town car
In the '00s, Chevy had the SS. The Impala was a 6-cylinder family/business sedan, and the SS was an American version of GM's (AUS) Holden division. Minor asthetic differences between both Chevy/Holden. The primary reason it didn't sell was poor marketing on Chevy's part. The SS was/is as fast as the C7 Vette, but as a sedan.
I love sedans and the hell with SUV’s!
Super clean
I loved ittt 🔥🔥🔥
I would totally buy this. Even if I am an SUV guy I wouldn't mind putting my cash on this.
I would be the first buyer of the modern 96 impala
YES, I would buy this!!!
I'm always preaching here how some cars look better with a little bit of chrome, but I feel like a dechroming this one was tge right choice. Enjoyed the video and the design.
When you took off the chrome I was in denial but then when you explained it I was all in
i would drive it too. if it were remade into production, it needs a supercharged DOCH LT5. especially thats also an engine chevy needs to get back to using
Big facts 💯
Hey, this is great. Do you know if those rims can be purchased anywhere?
Definitely resto mod vibes here! I’d definitely rock it! Would you try the Pontiac Grand am in a 2022 model?
That dont look half bad sketch 👍🏿
Fun fact: The production 1990's Impalas were in fact more luxurious LT1 equipped 9c1(police package) caprices with added electronic speed governors.
So beautiful, and the all black 2005 one too
Yep you've definitely made it look more sinister , could be a car for the Men in Black , great stuff Sketch 👍
Underrated car!
Don't care what anyone thinks, been a fan of this car from day 1. Drop it down and put on some Vett. wheels and soup up that cop motor and keep it all black, dam man you would have a hotrod. Thanks for the video and keep something.
Great category! What do you think of Chevy Tahoe GMT400 3doors? It would be interesting to see your redesign of perfectly simple shapes of it)
Nice work. Say I have a 79 Trans AM and would love to see you give me some ideas on how to bring it to life
It’s my favorite car of all time! Would buy it today if they put it out like today today ! Especially for 22,000 let’s goo! Literal most beautiful car in the world! IMO
I'll definitely buy that ride in a heartbeat!
