"With the unexpected end to the Italian-Turkish War in 1912, Italy was faced with what one commenter called "A lesser victory, pulled from the jaws of a greater one." While her claims to Libya were granted, Italy's advances in the Balkans and Anatolia were shuffled back to the Ottoman Empire, setting the stage for the victories of the Balkan League. A historian wrote, "The nations of the Balkans reaped what Italy sowed, and her victories in the battle field were lost at the diplomatic table." This lead to ugly rumors of a "stab in the back" by certain elements high in the government, that set the scene for later actions..."

@@EuelBall the Word vendetta comes from latin if i Remember and we use It like in the english One vengeace or something like that if you read Italian you see that most of the words are similar to the english ones

Well makes sense for the Italo-Turkish war to have the end scripted, as Turkey is required for the Balkan Wars. Still I'm enjoying the prelude to WWI, which should arrive in 1.5 years (as it started in summer 1914).
It's not actually a scripted end.(Well not entirely a scripted end) I've played this mod as the ottoman empire and eventually you get an event giving you the option of fighting on to try and secure victory. Or giving up and ceding land to Italy to try and preserve a larger part of the empire.
@@Freezezonian I guess the Turkey AI is more prone to follow the historical routr while when playing as Turkey you have the option. That would make sense
@@Deamon93IT Yeah it probably does tend to follow the historical route more often if only to avoid being completely overrun. and breaking some further events.
One thing you should know about the advisors like the "artillery expert", they only affect the units where the MAJORITY of the template is the unit they require. Meaning the artillery guys are basically always USELESS. I am not certain if this was changed but this was what it was like the last time I checked.
I've never heard that before. Then again, i Don't keep up with much HOI4 stuff.
If I am not wrong the new dlc is going to change the way it works. Where it will apply to divisions based in a percentage

As @Doggo said, it hasn't been changed yet, but once the new DLC drops, that'll be fixed.
This advisor mechanic makes no sense to me. How are they supposed to be 'useful'?

I would definitely recommend the great war redux mod, it allows for far more alternate history, less scripted peacedeals and such. Plus modernized focus trees!

I like how long it took you to realize that you were using coastal defense subs in your main submarine fleets.
Kind of thought it would be obvious that the COASTAL SUBMARINES would be what was limiting your range.
Exactly what I hate about this mod. It railroads you so much, way too many scripted peace deals and wars. The only deviation you can get in this mod is if Germany wins the world war, and even then it's a scripted peace deal.
As Italy, you can't contest your Dalmatian claims, it goes to Yugoslavia every single time and you have no say in it. You are forced into Mutilated Victory. I'd highly even advise scrapping this playthrough and playing Italy in the Great War Redux mod. At least you can have more freedom about how you play.

So basically Pravus heavily weakened the Ottomans just for scripting to conquest-block him and then Serbia to take advantage.

I love this mod for HoI4. I also love doing a scenario where the Central Powers have 1950s level tech before engaging in aggression.
It’s interesting to see them completely destroy enemies while suffering minor causalities.
(Seriously, I did one as The German Empire, went up against France and Russia at once. They suffered a couple million causalities compared to my 250)
It was called the war for Libya obviously and it mentioned the docadense Islands.
Pravus: Clicks focus to claim Libya from Ottomans
Pravus: Goes to war with Ottomans for Libya
Pravus: Wins war, is given Libya in peace treaty
Pravus: "Man, I am so angry with the game that I only got Libya!"
Well tbf, I would expect this war to take place in Libya so normally you'd take those territories and then get to keep them.
What Pravus did was completely roflstomp the ottoman balkan territory (while not going to africa at all), so I would want to keep that stuff as well if I were him. And then the darn script screws it up.
@@Kr0noZ True, although Italy had never pursued any serious claims on the Ottoman Balkans except for maybe Albania. With Libya, they had the support (some of it backed up by treaties) of France, Britain, and Russia)
In a way, it's sort of ludonarrative dissonance, because HOI really encourages you to paint the map....there's very much an in game reason to "take over the world", whereas, especially if you're not playing WWII Germany, countries are a lot more bounded in their foreign policy goals, and constrained by a whole bunch of international and domestic factors from just conquering the world.
wish you played Great War Redux it has more content andd if i remember right you can take more with italy against ottomans

Coastal submarines have very short range. Any naval task force including them couldn't reach any naval region not on your own coast.
Well at least they have to completely start from scratch in 2 years because I'm fairly certain you deleted nearly the whole Ottoman army.

Trench warfare was the end of WW1.
The origins of it were based in speed and fast movement of troops.
Trench warfare happened because the germans didn't go BRRRRRT fast enough.

i think its better for you create the basic 72 division with light artillery, in this way you can fast build divisions and have advanced tech in field. In this way you can create a LOT of armies ready to fight and very CHEAP to build. Quality and Quantity in the same pocket! :)
P.S. choose ALWAYS to rush in the tech three for the industrial efficiency. Believe me! if you do you become so OP!!!! expecially when it start the WW1, will become so useful!!!

I belive if you start having a small issue with the West invasion of the ottomans then try a march from Egypt and try make a supply route with sub protection
On one hand yeah it sucks that you only got the African ottoman territories, on the other hand you could have just totally whacked up WW1, which I feel this mod is trying to actually replicate.

Ay uh Pravus, they made you peace for balance. If the mod has focuses and tech that go up to 1945, it would stand to reason that certain conquests are going to be railroaded. Even World War I itself is railroaded, in that whenever one side surrenders the other side gets whatever claims and cores from the other. That means if France wins you'll get Weimar borders for Germany, and probably a broken Austria. If Germany wins, France gives up more land past Alsace Lorraine, and I assume you'd get Savoy if you went with the Germans (as opposed to Tyrol and Dalmatia if you fight with the Entente). It's all for balance and what the devs wanted for their mod.
Edit: Also, the event said "we could push for more, but perhaps this peace is *enough.*"

You should have created a claim in the balkans/anatolia and when the great war starts you could use the claims for a african colony.

I'm going to so laugh when Pravus loses because his troops are no where near the border where the defense force belongs. I'm wondering if it will be a scripted war dec and if it is then he is so screwed unless he move troops.

I hate it when you’re forced into events like that bogus peace deal, that makes NO sense considering how the game has been proceeding. Honestly, if that happened to me, I would quit the game instantly.
That's the mod. It's meant to recreate the events that lead up to WW1. It forces the player to the peace deals because they want to recreate a similar environment to WW1. The regular game is not like this.

You should really just start pumping out troops the lack of equipment kinda sucks but it will be easier in the future and you should well you probably know but 2 artillery 7 inf is the best against AI and 14/4 later but you should know that you are pretty good at the game
This is why I dont like this mod too much - It doesnt really do anything too exciting - It tries to make HoI4 WW1 Edition but its extremely generic and railroady - You have next to no choices yourself and most Focus Trees are "generic focus 1" "generic focus 2"
