    This podcast is the most clearheaded take of what happened and what is happening. Great show. If I’m being honest I struggle with faith but if anything these episodes prove to me Christ can lead me to a sober mind.

    Very interesting episode. Just minutes ago, I just heard an orthodox Christian political commentator compare Trump to a high priest. Saying that the high priests would put the blood of the lamb sacrifice on their ear, and he was saying that this was some kind of sign. YIKES!

  • @airone50

    There is a tension in our expression of liberty here in the west where we choose our leaders. The best we can do as Christians is judge the gradiations of evil and decide what will be our course. I always now look at what evil will befall on my family and for those around me that I love. We are compelled to direct our participation in a process that is fallen and appeals to the evil one and the accuser of the brethren. A civil war occurred following an election and there were millions that were killed and suffered under the division. There is no doubt that the evil one is involved and we are compelled to pray for those in high places and ask for mercy.

    I’m still trying to digest this episode. Was the point that A) we shouldn’t worship Trump, but instead put our hope in Christ, or B) we shouldn’t support Trump because some people are prone to “worship” him? Point A seems too obvious, but Point B seems like it can apply to any political candidate. What am I missing?

    • @AJ0223
      @AJ0223 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Was this a political episode? I haven't gotten a chance to start it yet, probably later this afternoon. I'm so weary of anything related to contemporary events or politics or trump Biden or any of it I honestly find it all to just be unadulterated brain rot lol

    • @RobKaiser
      @RobKaiser หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      @@AJ0223it is only a political episode if you want it to be. I viewed it as an episode on humanity and while I’m only 1/3 of the way into it so far, it’s quite interesting in that while political topics are being discussed, the dialogue is exceptionally apolitical.

    • @ZealousSeraphim
      @ZealousSeraphim หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@AJ0223 The message is what the core of their project has been. It’s beyond “don’t support Trump” or “do support Trump”, that honestly misses the point. I’ve even made the mistake to focus too much on whether you should support Trump, so I get the confusion.
      This is about taking a step back, testing the spirits in this current environment. Being in the world but not of the world. Considering less about what’s being promised now, but looking at what happens next. Understanding that antichrist means in place of Christ, and they will deceive the elect.
      People since the shooting have put Trump on this insanely high pedestal. No Orthodox Elder living today, not even someone like Met Onuifry is being put on this pedestal the way Trump has been since the shooting. People are getting very drunk on emotion, and desperation for things to get “better”. To “buy groceries” is the one I commonly see. They’re not really discerning how much of a red flag that is.
      I think the core of what this podcast is saying is actually summed up with this one quote from Fr Turbo: “Please people, be discerning. Please people be sober. Now is the time to be calm and be prayerful.”. Our focus on this time should be on our salvation and our entrance into the next life. The clock has struck another hour with this event, and it’s really not the place to put stock and emotion into worldly leaders like this.
      Now I’m probably missing some key points, but this is at least what I’m pulling from their overall message having listened to all the episodes. But I’m a very flawed and inept communicator so I probably missed some key points.

    We should all be praying for Trump. An encounter so close to death like that can humble a man to surrender to His Creator. Now is a great opportunity of suffering and reflection. And, I swear, his eyes were different when he walked into the RNC. It was my first thought on a video and the top liked comment was “his eyes are different”. We never know fully what’s occurring in one’s soul. Let us all pray. Because the implications of this man coming to truly know and follow Christ would change not just himself and the nation, but the world. (“For you have come to royal position for such a time as this”. Esther 4:14).
