Really ? You ever done it ? I've had a few break out of a thousand. I've had them hit my gloveless hand a couple times. It's not that big of a deal for a man. Loose digits.lol. Not a chance.
Greeting from San Jose CA. My name is Jose Ibarra and I’m actually about to graduate from college. My major is Construction technology. But want to specialize in welding. I love the content you’re putting out there for us. Appreciate you!
What’s up bro! I just moved to Texas, I’ve been a firefighter for almost 9 years and I watch your videos almost everyday. I love my job but I really love the work you do and I’m slowly transitioning into becoming a welder. I would love to have the capability of being a mobile welder someday. Hope your house is coming together nicely and looking forward to seeing more context from you!
Another hardworking video!!! I just picked up a welder....you've inspired me to start picking up some small welding repair jobs. Gonna start real small with my free time. Thanks alot for the motivation bro. 💯👨🏾🏭
Those ramps would make the Ultimate Zombie Apocalypse door or draw bridge, it was a thought, but I'm glad your in your element and enjoyed watching your video, the Burrito meal looked very hefty indeed, tummy is grumbling now. 🤗
Great channel anthony-your subs are spared the fake BS and just get great real world content. If possible I'd love to see how you price out a job like this for a good customer who keeps you fed. Again love the channel dude.
I charge most customers $100-110. I don't bid heavy repair work. I would either grossly over estimate or under. I bid fab jobs, small repair, and basically everything else
Thanks for replying. Good customers, who know and appreciate what you go through to get things done, are sometimes hard to find. Trying to make up my mind if mobile might be for me. Thanks again for the reply and a GREAT CHANNEL.
Agreed. Not only do they cut so much better, but I get at least 2.5 to 3 times the life out of each disc compared to a zirc. In Aus, acubitrons run about double the price of a zirc, so not only for the superior cutting performance, but also for the coin, they just make sense.
My 2019 Bobcat T770 tracked skidsteer has those hydraulic locks, heated air ride seat, suspension on the tracks, ride control, stereo. They've come along way in twenty years.
While it may well have been too windy, I successfully run gas shielded wires in moderate wind on a regular basis. The key is to use a 1/2” long, tapered nozzle and crank up the gas pressure (50-60 with gas shielded flux core). That said, you should NEVER go near a job like that with hard wire. Gas shielded flux core or 7018 stick are your only logical choices in the field on a structural repair when you’re running in all positions. Unless, of course, the base metal requires a higher alloy filler(80-11018 for example).
hi Anthony, another great video? thanks for sharing your works iam glad you are painting your welds, for those who do not know the paint makes things look so much better, the welds start to look like shit when the surface rust starts almost immediately, it pays to keep a gallon can of cheap primer and a few cheap throw away brushes, that will cost less than a few spray paint cans. how come you did not preheat the lug you rewelded in the first job today? I have a good tip I always used ,yesterday when you were welding the gussets in the de-watering. pipes,(you should make it a habit to pick up some .75-1 inch washers and keep them on your truck, when you burn a hole for a shackle weld a high strength washer over the hole it looks so much better and it is stronger? hope you don't mind my advice I have picked up a lot of tricks and learned to be a pain in the ass ,I have ben working and welding for 55years? one last thing for today, it is so easy to install grease fittings all you need is a small drills couple of bits a small tap and some grease fittings, the last thing you did today ,putting in the new pipes and reinstalling the pins in the trailer would have a better jb if you had put in some grease fittings, and the pipes never would have split the way they did? keep on burning? gene 638
Hello Anthony looks like you were in my neck of the woods. Was that the Mine and Mill on Combee road? I’m liking your channel and learning more from you. Been welding for a long time but not for a living. Have a Hobart 140, 175, and 250 champion. Keep it going man great job!
Im not a welder. but I am curious. When repairing a crack shouldnt you drill a hole at either end so it doesnt continue to crack? or does grinding it and welding it together leave you with same outcome? Thanks!
Doesn’t matter what any boilermaker says or thinks. If you can’t do the job without a guard on a grinder, you need to get a job at donut king. A metabo grinder with dead man is the best grinder on the market.
Hey Anthony. I think your work is great. I have a question as a small business owner. Im having what’s a good insurance company to use for business insurance? Im having issues getting business insurance.
Good job man like always bud that burrito for 4 dollars is pretty damn good and it big too here in L.A. that would be nearly 10dollars of course everything in California cost half a days wages anyway we pay 3 times more for gas than you guys do
So I'm about to be 19 and I'm interested in starting a welding career. I've seen some of your videos about the schools and how to get started but my main question is how do you get payed? Do u take cash only? Checks? Ect.?
You should do a through tutorial on how to use a cutting wheel properly. I hate cutting wheels at times. Need to show the safest ways to use one without it exploding and doing some serious damage your face if not slitting vital organs.
flux core, and thats because of location. its windy here this time of year. sometimes even flux core wouldn't work. I think its limited to like 15-20 mph?
A guy I worked with was cutting rust out of chassis, using a skinny disc with no guard. The disc shattered and hit him in the neck. I've never seen so much blood. He made it, but it was a very close call.
hows that makita grinder holding up? got me one the other week from amazon for £40 feels pretty damn good quality compared to what i had before. i kinda don't wanna get it dirty bc it looks so new lol
I always hate it when you stop welding to chip the slag and people run up to see what you have just done. I hit a customer with hot slag on his arm (thank God it was not his eye)
Yo, that forklift push was rad as hell

1:00 that’s why you leave the guard on. If that piece came at your hand or face say goodbye to those digits.

Appreciate the content man especially as a young welder doing metal fab and boat dock repair

def not easy

Yes, the longer videos are the best.
Nice job Anthony, still waiting for you to set up that beautiful new rig
Your videos are good. You take on anything.
Best mobile welding channel on youtube right now!!
Great video again, love the realistic content, not just all the pretty stuff.
Thanks!
I firmly believe that the burrito, beans, and rice is how you were able to complete this job!!! Good content as always !!!

Nice welds!
Thanks for telling us the amps you use.. helpful
I been doing a lot of mig welding right now. Ill be glad when I get back to stick welding again.

Hi Antony great job as always man! I wanted to ask...what kind of boots are you wearing?
Justins With vibram souls
I love videos like this. Nice job, I love burning one rod right after another. It's kinda zen like for me
Same here!
That skid steer coupler is cool, no more getting out to push down those handles and skim a knuckle occasionally
💯
For this job could you have used a mig welder running 0.35 wire with 75/25 gas or do you have to use dual shield gas just asking
No too windy for either

very light and the head gear it comfortable

whatever came with the Hobart, I don't really know
Learned me something thank you.
Hard Work Brother!!
Always!
I'm surprised! Most of your work is prepping for the weld. You have to be a good prepper and a good welder.
Hey Anthony. I think your work is great. I have a question as a small business owner. Im having what’s a good insurance company to use for business insurance? Im having issues getting business insurance.
did you go to a welding school or was it on the jo training ?

nice video great work very cool

I’m new to welding. I have a Millermatic 210. Can Mig be used for this job or is stick preferred??
flux core, and thats because of location. its windy here this time of year. sometimes even flux core wouldn't work. I think its limited to like 15-20 mph?
With a 6010 I would have done an uphill pass. If it shits to bed you can always clean it up and finish downhill.
The term root passes and removing old rusted out metal makes me think of referring to this as metal dentistry.
$4 burritos 😋
That bobcat came in handy
Good shit 🤙🏻

Why take so much time to cut out those welds with a cut off disk? Why not use a carbon arc?
donate the compressor with enough ass to do it
I’m not worried your the one under that heavy bastard not me !
How did you know what size pipe to get?
Hey Anthony when you’re using 7018 do you prefer ac or dc+ and why?
Dc plus, better penetration. I almost never run ac
hows that makita grinder holding up? got me one the other week from amazon for £40 feels pretty damn good quality compared to what i had before. i kinda don't wanna get it dirty bc it looks so new lol
its been about a year, very light weight I don't use it when there's a lot of grinding to do just when im in weird positions
Nice dude ! I do lots of repair work like this . Never trust a hydraulic Line with your life
Another great job! $4.00 that burrito was huge 🤣
yes it was!
Is that the taco stand on combee
The Taco Bell in the Las Vegas TA trucks top had a 2lb burrito. That was long ago and they don't do that anymore. Oh well.
First padeye weld; I'd sure have wrapped those hoses with a welding blanket! Buying one or two hoses would about cancel the job's profits!
no hoses where harmed in the making of this film
Really need to invest in you a air arc way less time and it’s the correct way for crack repair.
E8010 is calling your name.
Missed intro man 👍
You da man
👍👍👍👌👌
Sweet! you the 💣👍🤓👋
I'm not sure if I would trust eating that giant burrito for $4😂 burritos are almost $16 here in California
"fixing a bunch of bad welds" must be yours.
🤔
Dam man I can't touch a burrito for lesd then 9 bucks around me! My Mind is blown!
Get ready to replace that pipe again on the ramp. It should’ve been solid bar not pipe. You amaze me on the things you do.
If a solid bar was used the ramps are essentially welded in place and cant be taken off like they can with the pin setup.
your ignorance amazes me
How many damn trucks do u have 😂
It’s a problem
😎👍
I like this channel fuck the haters
Jew never cease to amaze me Ant!
“TTT” Take a Toke Tony
you buying your grinding wheels in bulk? why not use a scarfing tip to blow out the old welds ? its faster and its less to clean up
didn't have a scarfing tip on the truck. the lowboy job was un expected. if I had known I would've took my white truck
@@MeltinMetalAnthony ah shit youre just like me haha, gotta get two sets of everything now so you dont have to swap tools over on yer trucks
