im a hungarian bike messenger for wolt . i deliver food (mostly) . im glad when i find people making bike messenger content . keep up the good content brother .
Sort of a side story here: The late Robin Williams used to collect bicycles. One day he was browsing in a bike shop and overheard a customer (young adult guy) asking an employee if they had a cheap fixed gear. It seems he was a bike messenger/delivery guy and his bike had been stolen. Williams told the employee to set the guy up with a new Look bike on him. Pretty impressive act, IMO.
Wow I had never heard that story.. thank you sharing! I have seen dope pictures of robin Williams on some sick bikes so not surprised.. thank you for sharing 🙏🏼
I like how your bag compacts for its size. The Ninja messenger backpack seems similar. slow roll and trash bags are both great sizable bags. Local made.
*Looked at a lot of options for getting my **Latest.Bike** . Great find in SAVA. Super light, nice components, really good value as it comes with many options only found in much higher priced bikes.*
Hey man, big fan of the channel. I get to live vicariously through your vids. One suggestion about the videos themselves: you may want to cut the audio of your hand hitting the camera when you do your transition between scenes. It's a bit loud and jarring. If you ever wanted to put music in your videos, that moment of impact with the hand and camera works as a great time to put a strong downbeat in whatever song you're using. Either way though, the impact as it is now makes me jump sometimes. Love the vids and keep up the good work
This would be a dope series if you uploaded like every other day or even every day, just raw riding and delivering. Kind of like those people that work at an ice cream store or sub way lol. gl!
I ride a Gary Fisher MTB on the streets and love the gears, brakes, front suspension to get over curbs, grates, pot holes etc. What's the advantages of the fixie without brakes?
No real advantages. It is more of a lifestyle and a niche community. The appeal is to be more connected with the bike and to just have the necessities. They are also very light. Many people also like the look of the frames. If you do chose to ride fixed gear, get foot retention on your pedals. From a fixed gear rider.
It has basic components, no deraileurs, no brakes, no freewheel, it just a frame, wheels, a pedal and seat. super low maintenance. It takes a bit of learning and getting use to, but try it a few times, practice, you might like it.
Lighter low maintenance bike, if you live in an apt taking a fixie up the stairs and hanging it on your wall is a lot easier after an average 40-mile work day. On an MTB you will not be as efficient. They are also best suited for flat cities since you only have flip-flop gears
Link to other messengers channel? 🙂 Thanks 🚲🚲🚲🚲 You need to buy a two way radio and fix it to your shoulder strap, even though you won’t use it, make you look 90s messenger 🤔😏😏
I worked for them for a while. I didn’t like the fact that the mileage is crazy and I’m getting $15 an hour. There’s no transparency in terms of how much each order is worth vs what I’m being paid to deliver. I prefer food delivery. Granted summer is slower but only a few more months before the fall and winter.
I completely understand your point. I don’t disagree although the mileage for me isn’t bad but I understand. I’m trying it out for now but it’s not my only income.. wouldn’t be enough.
$15/hr does seem low considering NY rents even if you’re not paying for gas. Too bad you can’t get a tax deduction on food and drink as a business expense since it fuels your body to get around on your bike.
I’d say atleast twice as much as the Warsaw.. the vessel is a heavy bag alone with nothing in it.. but it’s also way bigger so depending on the load it’s worth carrying a heavier bag
Why does it look like the handle bars are facing the opposite. Any who dope bike also wanted to ask wht size are the wheels they look thicker then the skinny ones.im lookin for some wider ones not to wide but wider then the skinny ones I have .
Great video 🤙 what bag are you carrying? What size tires are you running? What are you delivering that is so small and allows so many packages to fit in your bag? Keep the videos coming
Looked up capsule and seems to be an online delivery pharmacy service that is probably stealing some of Walgreens and cvs business by cutting costs not having to pay for physical pharmacy locations, automating and remote working any calls or communications between insurance and doctors offices and delivering direct to your home during 2hr window for those who are remote working from home.
This bike is definitely reliable but I wouldn’t say cheap for your average bike.. to me it’s very worth it. it’s all been bought separately and built up.
I figured everyone was using ebikes now. Is there any reason you wouldn't if it's for a job? I personally find that I can still even train at whatever heart rate I want on an ebike - you just end up accelerating much faster but depending on the local laws you may have higher top end speed on a regular bike (UK's limited to 15.5mph)
As a casual rider in Boston, I find it hard to believe how this guys blows through stop lights and stop signs like they aren't even there. Maybe things are different in NYC, but I'd be a hood ornament in Beantown if I tried that sh*t.
Es difícil encontrar.. diría que busques en eBay a veces aparecen ahí. La compañía de vessel no responden y si te responden se tardan demasiado. Mejor por eBay
I work for them. I create my own schedule basically.. I put my availability and they schedule me those days and hours I choose.. I can then swap shift if needed or add a few more. It’s pretty flexible
It seems that you haven't even wasted time to get a brake on the bike? In my home Denmark, with a hell of a lot of bikes, it is illegal to use a (new) bike without two brakes on the bike, and as the front brake is the most efficient, I would have chosen that one at least!!! Finn. Denmark
Maybe in some peoples eyes yes.. but for me I love riding my track bike. Less to worry about with something going wrong.. a bit more reliable.. and lighter.

Im afraid to drive my car on Atlantic because it's so chaotic, props to you on a fixed gear.
Atlantic is super chaotic haha you’re right. Just gotta be hella alert 🤙🏼🤙🏼
noway i would ride a fixed gear 😳 sketchy stuff
The problem with car-based services is the car expenses eat you alive.

Oh okay prescriptions, makes sense.
