What is a backing track and how does it relate to someone like me who cannot read notes, but knows sound,...At lest not in your music world. I learn by "Ear"
Hwoodification I learned this from the papastache102 tutorial video. You don't need to read music. He explains it well enough.
+Hwoodification well basically its just music for you to play too, lead guitar, keyboard ect. and if you can play by ear that's great! just learn the key of the track and play with it. :)
A backing track is basically a base of a particular song or a style for you to play over it, it's like a karaoke but for instruments.

If you are serious about the guitar, well you need to build those callouses up on your fingertips.
And I see you are a young woman, so don't go crazy on your fingernails like some women do.
You are pretty enough, you don't need that crap,and they get in the way of not only guitar playing, but everything else as well. But yeah, it kinda hurts when you first start. Don't expect instant results, but keep at it and you will notice results over time
