Reigen is a con artist but he actually cares a lot about leading Mob down the right path and he’s surprisingly brave at times. Definitely my favorite character in the series.
The way I see it is that in the end, he still gets people the help that they need. He is a professional photo editor, massager, pet groomer and the list goes on but when it comes to actual psychic stuff, he simply leaves it to Mob or Serizawa. He wants money but he also wants the customer to be happy.
Reigen, a normal average man, handled Mob's 100% power multiplied by 10 despite having zero experience with psychic powers. This is just impressive, I don't know what else to say lmao
well considering that 100% is only achieved through mobs emotions being out of control, the only reason reigen doesn't seem like he out of control is cuz he's an adult and learned to control his feelings.

My guess is once he transfers this energy to others the negative strain is still gonna be put on him but in a more calmer and weaker state.
Gratitude going from the usual 100% to 1000% may just seem like exaggeration but on reflection I can see just why Mob was so grateful that Reigen offered him a helping hand. In terms of just beating the enemy, that would have been absolutely no problem. Mob would have wiped the floor with them, even without the ??? wild card. But Mob Psycho is delving a lot more into realistic depictions of how many stories work, which would also include that you can't just put minors into a battle of life and death and expect them to come out of it perfectly fine the next day. Even if he won, having to kill or seriously injure others would have completely, emotionally destroyed Mob, who was already traumatised by accidentally hurting his brother once. And on another matter, this was not just about hurting these people in front of him so he and the others could escape, the fight was in essence a disturbing preview of a possible future. Mob doesn't want to fight but for Claw that didn't matter. "Those with power must fight." They would have come after him again and again. And if it's not them, another organisation or villain would pop up, either seeing him as a possible recruit, someone to exploit or an obstacle they must get rid of because of his power. No matter how much Mob doesn't want to fight, someone would have always pushed him into one. Reigen in that moment reminded Mob, if he doesn't want to fight, he is there to protect him. And because Reigen offered to shield Mob from such a terrible future did his gratitude explode like that.
In my theory if this man ever gets psychic powers that would be OP since Mob’s energy was temporarily inside of him witch means if he gets psychic powers that would mean that his powers would be as strong as the time he fought claw since he needs something to activate that energy and if he does get powers it will reactivate that energy and then my man will be 1000% again it’s just a theory I’m not certain
Raw power without intent is meaningless. I like to think that reigens natural skepticism makes him inclined subconsciously to negation, which explains why he makes them powerless. And power negation is terrifying in the right hands.

My brother kept showing me this , Reigen Arataka special moves compilation and especially S1 Ep12 where Reigen Arataka reaches furnace levels of roasting (when he roasts that cult group , i don't know the name !! You know that guy with glasses swords and cursed cologne , one with shoulder pads , one with black dress and Octopus type helmet .. I am talking about that team) !!

This guy just maxed out not in charisma, but wisdom as well (charisma to convince people, wisdom to lead mob to the right path). Even on other essence, he's pretty much normal
He's probably not going berserk for 3 main reasons: 1, most of the energy is staying outside of his body, so he's only interacting with a small fraction of the power inside his body; 2, of the power inside his body, most of it is reinforcing his physical body rather than interacting with his mind for telekinesis, so it's much less of a mental strain than Mob might feel trying to actively control his maximum power; and 3, Reigen isn't aware of the energy in the first place, so he just thinks his body is in great shape today rather than any truly supernatural explanation.

In my head cannon, Reigen is like Fry from Futurama. He lacks the delta brain wave that makes him almost impossible to be read by or use psychic powers. Because of this, he's uniquely able to handle Mob's power without being torn apart because he naturally negates psychic energies, allowing them to pool around him safely like a bubble. Meanwhile, his charisma and bizarre ability to stare down any opposition with a smirk come in clutch to make him seem like an unstoppable force, intimidating people with nothing more than a wave of the wrist and a snide remark about how their powers are silly. He might be a normal dude at the end of the day, but the huevos he's packin' in his trousers are anything but normal.
Reigen cares so deeply for mob that if mobs innocence and his life is on the line Reigen will fight foes 100x stronger then him and lets be honest we are lucky reigen is there because there are multiple times mob near on exploded without the guidance of others
