I really want to come out to a saturday session you guys have or even try and join, but the location is not easy for me to get to with other work and life commitments......you going to open a school on the west side anytime soon?
@@cincinnatibarbarians thats why most USA teams are in trouble with authenticity committee 😆 i would love to see more of USA teams in big tournaments but it is what it is 😄😅😂
@@supremebrick4555 there is definitely that. I think the bigger factor is cost of travel for us Americans most us fighters now a days are in auth passing kits but when travel for a team to go to a tournament overseas is in the 10k + range it gets rough and doesn’t make sense except for the biggest events I mean a little bit of brake cleaner will take any paint right off before trying to pass a muster.
It's not lol, festivals do this ALL the time, everywhere, yes there are some choreographed stage shows that some venues do to show off armor mobility, tell a story or just give the spectators some talent to watch, but usually its disclosed, obvious or well known that its an act. But these ones where its just two going at it in a ring with very clearly no plan other than to knock their opponent over, it's 100% real and they're hitting with full force, Look up "Buhurt 1v1" or "Battle of the Nations" on TH-cam and dive into the rabbit hole, its my personal FAVORITE national sport, there are ALOT of injuries involved
Exactly, confidence in your armor. buhurt is fundamentally different to harnischfechten or hema, due to restrictions on anti armor technics such as mordhau or half swording, or stabbing as a whole. So the combat style is going to be pretty different.
For those who didn't know, they're using exact replicas of 16th century metal folding chairs.
They were very industrious with metal chair designs in the 16th century. Absolutely incredible construction!
@@cincinnatibarbarians their use in combat was pioneered by Ser Dusty of Rhodes.

What i wanna know is why this chick in the beginning look like she was bouta drop it like its hot outside the ring

It isn’t! The fights fully are unstaged and wild!
The have a whole international federation for these armored combats. I'm trying to move to Ohio, so this makes me excited!
not one skill fighter among them they dont fear being hit or taken down so they charge recklessly
