Specially in temples/marriage halls etc..the leftover rice after any festivals/functions...is these days thrown out ( with exception in some cases). So instead , we could make use of that rice to prepare these snacks. we should promote these awareness. Thank you for tagging it as "left over rice" recipe .

The traditional way is to soak the rice, change the water, add sabudana to it, all kinds of elaborate steps before getting to fry and eat them! This is an excellent shortcut!
