hi lily! longtime sub here! i just wanted to share my experience: i do ashtanga yoga that is supposed to be 6x a week for 1.30hrs each. it's a lot. and the talk about motivation always pops up and what we say is: our yoga prictice (or your excercise) is driven by discipline, not motivation. because motivation comes and goes, but discipline if you have it, can get you to do something (we say that it's better to do a short practice than none at all). it's not too rigid the discipline thing (i could manage 4x times this week), but more of a dedicated time for that and also the fact that you don't question it as a part of your day. hope this pov helps! :) (sorry if my english is not perfect!)
I’ve never loved exercising either. I’ve been as baffled as you when people say, “but don’t you feel great after you’ve finished a workout?” and my answer is always no. You don’t always have to love doing something that’s good for you but I wouldn’t stress about it either. I love that you are singing! You can hear in your voice how much you love that! Keep it up! Love your honesty, and your openness!
I hang my scarf in the hanger with the coat I wear it with. And I will often put the beanie in the sleeve of the coat. I have tons of closet space, so it’s not to save room. But it’s super convenient.

I’ve been working out consistently for years now. I still hate it. I don’t get endorphins that people talk about, but I do feel proud of myself. I only do it for health reasons because I hate it so much. It’s just a health maintenance thing I do most weekday mornings. I do it at home and I sleep in my workout clothes to up success rate.
I use a back of the door organiser with pockets (I think it's meant for shoes) to put my hats and scarves in and it has meant that I do actually wear them because I can see them all at once and it is easy to put them away properly. Love your vlogs so real, I really felt that 'i've got 1% left in me' at the end. Some days it is like that. Fxx
I am a mum to a toddler, I only exercise on a saturday morning with a group of mums and a coach in the park. It’s early, but then done for the whole week and nice to chat with other mums. Really recommend finding a post-natal mum exercise group!
Interestingly I listened to a podcast the other day from Mel Robbins who said that the turning point with creating new habits (peloton, or dry jan or any kind of habit/ exercise) is day 19, once you reach day 19 the likelihood of continuing has massively increased!

I'll never do any sort of subscription service, I don't like the concept it doesn't matter what/how good the products are. I have a scarf coat hanger! It has lots of sections in it to thread the scarves through, works!
I love my air fryer too, we use it so much! Re the scarfs i keep mine in my dressing room in an Ikea unit and roll them up and stack them, works great and doesn’t take up much room. I feel you re the exercise, I’m trying to walk more this year, don’t do enough to get my steps in. Have a fab week ❤
Regarding scarf storage: A metal bar, that can be screwed into the wall from IKEA - my previous apartment it hung behind a door, and I hang the scarves on it. Has worked out great
Have you thought about joining a club gym / David Lloyds have classes for kids too and it’s like a family community gym - I am joined with my family and it has made my fitness better x
Do you know those hangers that are meant to hold more than one pair of pants/trousers? I use one of those to hang scarves on. It's really handy cause you can get a lot on there and then it kind of hangs vertically so takes up less space!
Dancing to your favorite Music is such a good workout 🥰🤩 and Its fun and you can do it with your kids ❤ Singing is amazing therapy!!! Omg Grey is so cute 🤣💓
I have 3 kids between ages 6 and 2 and a peloton bike I bought back in 2021 - and like yourself between working from home, doing chores and taking care of the kids I just keep can’t seem to get myself on it 😅 This might be our year
Reformer pilates is the first thing I’ve really enjoyed and done consistently, hitting my one year of going twice a week! I’m lucky I have a studio a 5 min drive from my house cuz that would be a barrier to me if it was farther! It’s expensive but worth it
How good does you hair look when you take off your beanie? I always look like I‘ve worn the beanie for days even if I‘ve only worn it for 10 minutes. 😅

I really feel the workout struggle! All classes I can find close to where I leave are either pilates or CrossFit, and I am an aerobics/dance kind of girl 😢. My husband is like Rich, he neeeeds to exercise! Grey's cameo❤❤❤
Suggestion for organising that little storage for coats - have the coat peg same height as kids so they can reach for their own coat’s then perhaps make shoe storage and baskets for accessories above it x
Sam chapman mentioned the exercise hating a while back, she said it took her a full 6 months or so before she started to enjoy it if I remember correctly. I’m rubbish at keeping up with any exercise, but just stated reading atomic habits so hoping it helps me in some way xx

I’d love to hear more about air frying… honestly it’s always been a mystery to me. I’d love to know how to cook something besides chicken nuggets & fries! It seems like y’all do some healthier cooking.
Maybe try and exercise with Rich that easy for you and something different for him like tennis or even Pilates etc. or maybe even couples dancing / ballroom dancing, though I understand that you will have to arrange babysitter but it can also be at home in the evening with online classes / TH-cam :)
I don't think it's 'cheating' to use pre-cooked prawns - sometimes I buy raw, sometimes cooked, really just depends what's on offer! Prawns cook so fast anyway, why not make life easy and use pre-cooked ones?! :)
Maybe it would be good for you to do co-pilot for workouts? I know some other youtubers have talked about it. Or watch shows/youtube while you're on the bike

Also on the air fryer. You can get racks that make a normal air fryer a double. Like two layers. I’m yet to try but it’s in my list.

I roll my scarfs and fold them into a pull out drawer , all in colour coordination starting from whites/lights/colours /darks.

Peloton has dance classes on the platform. I know it’s different at home in your living room. But could be worth a try.
Peloton has dance classes! If you have the bike+ and can turn the screen around you can follow along they do lots of different music genres

I have my scarfs on an S-hook hanger. That way it's just one hanger, but you can see them all.
A suggestion would be reading James Clear’s Atomic Habits book. Maybe that can give you ideas and inspiration of starting a new habit?
I workout to not have my back go out, because if my back goes out I can’t parent, that was a big reframe for me.
