This song choice for joker was disturbing and devastating , but so is the film so for me it was PERFECT. I got PURE CHILLS!!
@heidtjcoombs9017: I agree 👍
This never gets old. Long before my time. But I could keep listening to this forever! ❤
yea glitter for ever
What a great artist! I'm sure he contributed a lot to society apart from his wonderful music!
A great musician but bad man... he is sentenced in prison for paedophile...
@@81rioscarlos Yeah I was well aware of that. But you didn't catch the sarcasm. Don't worry it happens en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s_law ;)

"People are mean to Gary. He only wants to settle down and have kids."

With kids
yeah that's Jimmy. Carr. Carr.. not that other one.
You are disgusting!!! I hope you don’t have kids!!!
He'll have kids . . . In his basement lol

Lol
Everybody is talking about the joker , real ones came after the office (Michael during pretzel day )
Oh shit I never heard the song and I watched that show a lot of times
Nah the realest ones came from happy Gilmore
@@hype_beast_slayer105 the episode's name is pretzel day
@@megatrash35 Ikr I swear I just watched the movie last night , what a coincidence 😂
This is also played in Full Monty isnt it?
As a drummer, am I seeing things, or does this song have TWO drummers pounding out that AWESOME BEAT???
Two drummers that was part of theretrade mark
My dear old Mum adored Gary Glitter. Whenever he was on Top of the Pops she always turned the TV to full volume.
Being reeled in. Just like paedophile behaviour
Sheeple can't tell
People trash this guy but this song is still awesome. Not many songs can get played as often as this one does and still hold up 50 years later.
There is no question. That is what makes all this a genuine tragedy;......The music IS unforgettable.
Brilliant,....Superb.
Why exactly do you think "people" "trash" him? Idiot.
Sicko
@@JoseAvila-cg3leYes, many artists stars are.
Well I mean there IS a good reason to trash this guy......
I've heard this song my entire life, and I honest to God did not know it had any lyrics.
Who else just see Joker coming down them stairs!
Legend. Brilliant music. What a track !!
back in my junior high school days..1972 loved the song it was a good rocker back then..still is
mrsfifties Are you an American? I imagine you don't read foreign news coming from foreign countries. Typical American person.

Yes I agree.
hgodivilla00. no I,m not American I,m canadaien so wht if the guy is in jail or were ever he is that's his proplem an no I din,t know back then tht hes one sick puppy, still love this song no mater wht
Yeah, so true. People are so limpwristed about the whole thing now. Don't they really realise how much of it went on, and is still going on? It''s just a matter of time b4 that awful "18 years of age" thing gets reassessed.
I met gary when i was 10. Gary taught me how to milk a cow blind folded.
It wasn't the teats you were pulling

Tooooo funny :))
Works better with savil with jim will fix it
@@phillipskenneth920 That was the JOKE.

Ryan Lunzen your not any better then him then wishing anything on anyone that bad is inhuman and I hope you know some people didn’t know he was a pedophile I barley just found out so I think your fucking dumb and should think before you say some stupid shit again oh my lord🙄🙄
NotHere4Nothin' Official “A known child molester” Can you show me proof?
I m here because of the Joker,,but this song is amazing for far
Is it okay for us to listen to Gary Glitter now? No matter what he did you can't deny he has some great songs.
I think someone needs to cover his greatest hits then it wouldn't be as bad 😂
It went so good with the scene in the film. I cant stop listening to it 🙈
I believe Peter Schofield and Rolf Harris done a cover version.
I had a good few years in this world as a DJ back then. If every rock musician / star that trod well over the lines was locked up, there'd have been almost nobody left to make music or play the gigs...
When this comes up in my shuffle playlist I immediately start walking like a badass without even knowing why
you're probably clutching your bum cheeks defensively incase Gary's about?
I give the music 10 out of 10 . The man himself a death sentence.
Mark Pickering he’s senile anyways
Pretty much my sentiment. Lock up Jimmy Page as well.
Nass Khan agree he did some great songs but he’s just a dirty old bastard now
@@podpod6000 He was a dirty bastard then. He was definitely up to it in the seventies. There's a clip of Roald Dahl's daughter talking about him and her schoolfriends in the seventies meeting him. She doesn't mention anything outright, but her body language is very defensive.
Like most of these people, Glitter himself had a horrible childhood.
@@anonb4632 do you realize how many mothers threw their daughters at the musician's? The parents encouraged it big time.
The audio only used to be an opening bit on a Kansas radio morning show for the sports announcements, and it is forever embedded in my head

Joker dancing this song in the movie.
It's perfect! This movie ROCKS!

The new one oct 4
That's some new levels of disturbing.
As a kid I saw a TV commercial where animated chimpanzees danced to this song
I have, just now and it is in the film and the Joker dances to it.
Who is here after the Joker???? great scene
Still great music love it!! 😎👍
...I remember hearing this on the radio in 1972,the short version...I was 16. Whenever I play it ,I'm 16
@craigx1433 I know great music 😁
Separating art from artists is essential these days
Kevin Spacey definitely would agree. Unfortunately Weinstein would, too.
How much did Gary Glitter have to do with composing this song honestly? He doesn’t play an instrument. And the lyrics toward the end are atrocious and are definitely not what this song is known for. He think he just got the credit for the song.
@@jiveassturkey8849 song not only got attention because of the instruments and mellow... it was because gary was an icon back then... but thats the past.
David Wong Chu I had never heard of the guy until he was a known sex offender. But I had definitely heard this song.
